History
May 1919 | Established Sawafuji Electric Industries in Zoshigaya, Toshima-ku, Tokyo and started the business of repairing automotive electric starters and alternators. |
Jun. 1934 | Changed the name of the Company to Sawafuji Electric Co., Ltd. with capital of 0.3 million yen and started production and sales of magnets for use in agricultural machinery and small vessels. |
May 1936 | Moved headquarters and plant to Shimura-Nakadaimachi, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo. |
Nov. 1936 | Submitted prototypes of automotive starters and alternators to the Japanese Army. Started manufacturing the assigned parts and selling them to a related automobile company. |
Dec. 1945 | Reverted to civilian production, re-established plant, and resumed production of magnets for agricultural machinery and small vessels. |
