Recall

-Chery Automobile, Brilliance Auto, and Great Wall Motor announced that they will recall 559,882 vehicles, because the tube bracket of fuel pumps made by Bosch's subsidiary, United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. may crack and cause fuel leakage. The recall will start on December 15, 2014. Each company's recall plans are as follows:
- Chery Automobile: part of the A3, the New Eastar, the V5, and the QQ6 vehicles produced between March 2005 and December 2013 (289,773 vehicles are subject to recall)
- Brilliance Auto: part of the Zunchi, the Junjie, and the Coupe produced between January 2006 and December 2011 (238,024 vehicles are subject to recall)
- Great Wall Motor: part of the V80 and the GWPERI vehicles produced between July 2007 and January 2014 (32,085 vehicles are subject to recall)

Production

-The Wuxi Plant of United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Bosch, held a ceremony to celebrate the release of its 200 millionth injector off its production line. The Wuxi Plant has five production lines. Its production volume for 2014 is likely to reach 26 million units. (From news releases issued by multiple sources on December 1, 2014)

-United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. in the Bosch Group announced that it has completed its new production line to manufacture high-pressure oil pumps at its Wuxi Plant. The company started constructing the advanced line at the beginning of 2013 in order to reduce its production cycle time to 10 seconds from the current 18 seconds. The new line is planned to start mass-production in March 2014. With this new operation, the company is expected to increase its annual high-pressure oil pump capacity to 1.8 million units, which will be an 80 percent increase from the current level. R&D Facilities

-Technology Centers in Shanghai, Chongqing and Wuhu, holding advanced world-level laboratories for testing the performance of entire cars, engines, transmissions and electric driven products, mainly research components of engine management systems, transmission management systems, body electronics, hybrid power or electric-powered management systems. Besides, the Technology Centers also research systems, hardwares and softwares of the above products, and provide function calibration service of powertrain.

-As of Jan. 1 2015, the number of employees in Technology Center is 1,326, Engine/Transmission Department is 1,103, Body Electronics Department is 94 and Electric Drive Department is 129.

R&D Collaboration

-United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. in the Bosch Group announced that the company and Great Wall Motor have jointly established a development center on the premises of Great Wall Motor’s Haval R&D center in Baoding, Hebei Province. (From a press release on June 30, 2015)

-The company's Transmission Department will jointly develop the 6AT control systems with Harbin Dongan Automotive Engine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The production schedule for the 6AT has not been set. Collaboration with universities

-The company signed cooperation agreements with Tongji University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, aiming at the all-around cooperation on personnel training, university-industry cooperation, and resource information sharing. The company had signed a cooperation agreement with Tongji University 6 years ago.
