According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) report issued on December 11, automobile sales (including non-VAMA manufactures) in Vietnam were up 13.3% year on year to 33,295 units in December. CKD volume was 23,565 units, and CBU volume was 9,730 units.
2016 annual sales were up 24.3% to 304,427 units.
VAMA members (20 manufactures) sales in 2016 were up 30.3% to 271,833 units. VAMA members passenger car sales were up 36.0%, commercial vehicles were up 21.7%, and special purpose vehicles were up 34.2%.
By brand sales in 2016 based on MarkLines Data Center figures, Truong Hai was up 34.6% to 80,113 units. Toyota (excluding Lexus) was up 13.4% to 57,036 units. VinaMazda was up 57.7% to 32,108 units. Ford was up 39.9% to 29,011 units. Honda sales were up 38.4% to 11,501 units.
VAMA's forecast for 2017 sales volume is about 10% higher than 2016.

According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) report issued on December 9, automobile sales (including non-VAMA manufactures) in Vietnam were down 4.3% year on year to 28,442 units in November.
CKD volume was 21,961 units, and CBU volume was 6,481 units. The large reduction of CBU volume Y/Y by non-VAMA manufactures is the main cause of the November sales decline.
VAMA members (20 manufactures) sales in November were up 25.7% to 26,295 units. VAMA members passenger car sales were up 40.6%, commercial vehicles were up 6.4%, and special purpose vehicles were up 11.9%.
By brand sales in November based on MarkLines Data Center figures, Truong Hai was up 18.8% to 7,296 units. Toyota (excluding Lexus) was up 38.7% to 6,130 units. VinaMazda was up 9.2% to 2,653 units. Ford was up 9.1% to 2,585 units. Honda sales were up 58.7% to 1,314 units.

Auto sales in Vietnam up 26.4% in OctoberAccording to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) report issued on November 9, automobile sales (including non-VAMA manufactures) in Vietnam were up 26.4% year on year to 28,283 units in October.
CKD volume was 20,879 units, and CBU volume was 7,404 units.
VAMA members (20 manufactures) sales in October were up 27.3% to 24,439 units. VAMA members passenger car sales were up 43.8%, commercial vehicles were up 6.5%, and special purpose vehicles were up 10.7%.
By brand sales in October based on MarkLines Data Center figures, Truong Hai was up 30.3% to 7,038 units. Toyota (excluding Lexus) was up 26.5% to 5,532 units. VinaMazda was up 52.8% to 2,802 units. Ford was up 13.6% to 2,430 units. Honda sales were up 49.7% to 1,247 units.

According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) report issued on October 10, automobile sales (including non-VAMA manufactures) in Vietnam were up 24.3% year on year to 26,551 units in September.
VAMA members (20 manufactures) sales in September were up 25.3% to 24,130 units. VAMA members passenger car sales were up 31.3%, commercial vehicles were up 15.5%, and special purpose vehicles were up 32.0%.
By brand sales in September based on MarkLines Data Center figures, Truong Hai was up 34.0% to 7,204 units. Toyota (excluding Lexus) was up 9.4%. VinaMazda was up 48.1% to 2,850 units. Ford was up 40.6% to 2,654 units. Honda sales were up 27.5% to 1,035 units.
