CKD volume was 9,120 units and CBU volume was 9,773 units.

By brand sales in January based on MarkLines Data Center figures, Toyota (excluding Lexus) was up 51.5% y/y to 3,346 units with a 17.7% market share. Ford was down 8.2% to 2,452 units with a 13% market share. Thaco Mazda was up 3.0% to 2,031 units with a 10.8% market share. Thaco Kia was down 22.1% to 1,846 units with a 9.8% market share. Experts attributed a sharp decline in car sales to the Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays, impacting consumers' purchasing power. Consumers tend to wait for new models and releases at this time of year, contributing to lower sales during this period. Experts forecast that the automobile market is likely to recover from the second quarter when manufacturers continue to introduce stimulus policies, along with support from the Government in further encouraging the development of green vehicles.
