Turkish vehicle sales up 6.5% and production down 9.2% in March
The Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) announced that Turkish vehicle sales of 121,510 units in March 2025 represented a 6.5% increase over March 2024.
According to the data from Automotive Distributors Association (ODD), Renault sales were 12,095 units in March (10.3% market share), Peugeot sales were 11,177 units (9.6% share), Fiat sales were 9,025 units (7.7% share), Toyota sales were 8,539 units (7.3% share) and Ford sales were 8,362 units (7.2% share).
In March 2025, sales of passenger vehicles under 1,600cc decreased 23.7% YoY to 52,096 units (56.7% share).
In passenger vehicles, gasoline-engine vehicles decreased 22.2% to 45,536 units (49.6% share), diesel-engine vehicles decreased 25.2% to 7,054 units (7.7% share), hybrid vehicles including PHEV and MHEV increased 127.5% to 26,020 units (28.3% share), EVs including range extender EV increased 90.1% to 12,896 units (14.0% share).
Turkiye's production of 124,105 units in March was down 9.2% YoY.
Vehicle imports were up 9.4% to 85,581 units and vehicle exports were up 5.0% to 96,531 units in March.

Turkish vehicle sales down 15.3% and production down 13.4% in February
The Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) announced that Turkish vehicle sales of 93,864 units in February 2025 represented a 15.3% decrease over February 2024.
According to the data from Automotive Distributors Association (ODD), Renault sales were 9,813 units in February (10.8% market share), Toyota sales were 9,331 units (10.3% share), Ford sales were 7,227 units (8.0% share), Fiat sales were 7,004 units (7.7% share) and VW sales were 6,168 units (6.8% share).
In February 2025 sales of passenger vehicles under 1,600cc decreased 32.0% YoY to 43,869 units (57.7% share).
Gasoline-engine vehicles decreased 32.2% to 38,387 units (50.5% share), diesel-engine vehicles decreased 27.6% to 5,663 units (7.4% share), hybrid vehicles including PHEV and MHEV increased 86.4% to 21,222 units (27.9% share), EVs including range extender EV increased 80.6% to 10,473 units (13.8% share).
Turkey's production of 114,346 units in February was down 13.4% YoY.
Vehicle imports were down 13.6% to 63,538 units and vehicle exports were down 10.5% to 79,977 units in February.

Turkish vehicle sales down 14.7% and production down 2.8% in January
The Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) announced that Turkish vehicle sales of 70,412 units in January 2025 represented a 14.7% decrease over January 2024.
According to the data from Automotive Distributors Association (ODD), Renault sales were 8,424 units in January (12.3% market share), Ford sales were 6,178 units (9.0% share), Fiat sales were 6,017 units (8.8% share), VW sales were 5,334 units (7.8% share) and Toyota sales were 5,265 units (7.7% share).
In January 2025 sales of passenger vehicles under 1,600cc decreased 33.8% YoY to 32,605 units (58.3% share).
Gasoline-engine vehicles decreased 34.2% to 27,130 units (48.5% share), Diesel-engine vehicles decreased 28.1% to 5,767 units (10.3% share), Hybrid vehicles including PHEV and MHEV increased 61.5% to 16,642 units (29.7% share), EVs including range extender EV increased 56.7% to 6,225 units (11.1% share).
Turkey's production of 105,397 units in January was down 2.8% YoY.
Vehicle imports were down 10.0% to 47,497 units while vehicle exports were up 3.5% to 78,191 units in January.
