ACT Expo 2026: Electric commercial vehicles impacting fleet sustainability
Tesla, Hino, Harbinger, Slate highlight new models; Daimler, International show electric buses
Summary
The Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo 2026 returned to the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S., taking place from May 4 through May 7, 2026, after being in Anaheim in 2025. Despite the venue change, the 2026 exhibition was similar in size to 2025, with approximately 12,000 attendees. The 2026 exhibition featured approximately 410 exhibitors compared to 450 in 2025.
While fleets continue to trend towards a variety of powertrains, battery electric commercial vehicles still play a large role in commercial vehicle fleets. At ACT Expo 2026, Tesla showcased the mass-production version of its electric Semi. Hino unveiled the new Le Series electric medium-duty truck. Harbinger’s booth included its newly revealed HC Series Cab, a medium-duty low cab forward work truck.
Both Daimler and International showed electric school buses in the Saf-T-Liner HDX2 Wattson Bus and IC Bus Electric CE Series, respectively. Slate Auto showcased its low-cost, compact, configurable electric vehicle at ACT Expo for the first time. Suppliers also emphasized electric infrastructure at ACT Expo 2026. ChargePoint showcased its new Express Solo charging station, while Greenlane announced expansion plans for new charging sites in Texas.
