SAIC unveils AI-native concept; Dongfeng, GAC exhibit branded vehicles in collaboration with Huawei
Summary
The 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2026) was held from April 24 to May 3, 2026, at the China International Exhibition and Convention Center and the Capital International Exhibition Center (New CIEC) in Beijing.
SAIC Group (SAIC) exhibited vehicles under brands including Roewe, MG, IM Motors, Shangjie, Maxus, and SAIC-GM-Wuling. The company showcased a number of new models, including the Jiayue 07, an AI-native, family-oriented crossover concept car by Roewe; IM Motors’ all-new LS8; and the Shangjie Z7 and Huajing S, developed in partnership with Huawei (Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.).
Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. (DFG) exhibited new models including the Voyah, eπ, MHERO, Forthing, and Epicland, a new brand created in partnership with Huawei. At the same time, the company officially announced the "DF Advance 2030” plan. DFG aims to sell 5 million vehicles globally by 2030, with New Energy Vehicles (NEVs: BEVs, PHEVs, FCEVs) accounting for over 70% of sales and the proportion of sales outside China reaching 40%.
GAC Group (GAC) exhibited new models including Aion, Hyper, Trumpchi, Lingcheng, and Aistaland, a high-end brand created in partnership with Huawei. Furthermore, the company announced an upgrade to its global strategic framework and clearly stated its goal of achieving annual overseas sales of 1 million units by 2030.
