BYD unveiled the world's first kilovolt-compatible electric vehicle platform at the "2025 Super e-Platform Technology" launch event. In addition, core components such as the drive battery, drive motor, motor controller, charging and distribution system, and electric air conditioner have been redesigned.

The platform has achieved 1,000kW megawatt-class charging performance. The maximum charging speed is 2km per second, charging to a range of 400km in 5 minutes. The system will encourage "matching charging and refueling," in which the recharging and refueling speeds are the same. The Super e-Platform announced at the launch event will be used in two models, the Han L and the Tang L.

At the same time, BYD announced the world's first electric powertrain for mass-produced passenger cars using its "Flash Charging Battery" that can run the motor at over 30,000 rpm. This electric powertrain is characterized by its light weight, compact size, and high power density.

This report mainly provides an overview of the technologies, including the Super e-Platform, 30,000 rpm production motors, new generation automotive silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors, the Flash Charging Battery, and the megawatt-class flash charging system.
