The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2025) was held at the Jakarta International Exhibition (JIExpo) in Kemayoran, Jakarta, from February 13 to 23, 2025.
The number of exhibiting brands increased from 23 in 2024 to 31. The increase in participation by Chinese OEMs was particularly noticeable, with BYD's luxury brand Denza, and Honri making their first appearances in Indonesia. According to the organizer's announcement, the exhibition area expanded from 134,000m2 to 154,000m2, and over the 11 days of the Show, the number of visitors increased 3% over the previous year to 579,000. The number of vehicles sold during the event was 22,322.
Indonesia holds two international motor shows each year: the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in February and the GIIAS (GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show) in August. Although GIIAS is larger in scale, the exhibits at IIMS are attracting attention in predicting each company's direction for the year. Chinese EV manufacturers have been entering the Indonesian market one after another, making their presence felt at IIMS in February and GIIAS in August last year, and this was another opportunity to confirm their market entry momentum.
