Japanese and European carmakers increase their presence in growing Indian market

Summary

  In the last two years, Indian OEMs have started to focus on electric mobility and future technologies. Major OEMs in India announced their capacity expansion plan either through new plants or acquiring closed plants of other OEMs. The companies also working towards their new range of electric vehicles and announced their plan for the next few years for electric vehicles.

  In this report, the investment plans of mid-size OEMs are analyzed, which are mostly of Japanese or European origin. They are among the world's biggest automakers and are trying to increase their presence in the growing Indian market. The report also covers updates from the OEMs that operate in the premium segment and have a manufacturing presence in India.
