The 12th China Automotive Forum, organized by the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM), was held in Shanghai's Jiading District from November 8-10, 2022. The forum was originally scheduled to take place in June, but was postponed to August due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and was finally held in November. This year's forum was themed “Gathering Strength and Stability, Building Up Momentum for a New Journey” and included one closed-door summit, one convention forum, and 16 thematic sessions.

Among them, Mr. Liang WANG, chief architect at Baidu R&D and Chairman of Baidu's Intelligent Driving Group (IDG) technology committee, took the stage at the thematic session 1 "The 4th Global Automotive Technology Development Leaders Summit" held on November 9 to give a presentation entitled "Symbiosis of Autonomous Driving Technology in the Smart Car Era". He spoke about Baidu's predictions for the transformation of the smart car industry, Baidu's R&D history of self-driving technology, and how Baidu's technological capabilities will contribute to and mutually coexist with other companies. This report presents the main points of the Baidu presentation.
