In early April 2019, Ford announced its business plan in China, the Ford China 330 Project. As one element of the China business plan, the automaker unveiled four new models at this year’s show.

GM’s Buick brand celebrated the world premiere of its GL8 Avenir concept model and released the VELITE 6 EV to market at the show. The Chevrolet brand celebrated the world premier of its Trailblazer SUV and the all-new Tracker. Finally, the Cadillac brand celebrated the Asian premier of its XT6.

Volvo, a subsidiary of the Geely Group, unveiled the XC40. The model is manufactured in China and scheduled for release in May.

The PSA Group’s vehicle sales have seen a major downturn in China in recent years but the group continues to have faith in the Chinese market that the situation will improve. At this show, PSA exhibited its China-exclusive 508 L plug-in hybrid and the Ami One concept from Citroën.

Renault celebrated the world premiere of its City K-ZE urban electric SUV and unveiled two models of its EZ-ULTIMO concept, which made its Asian premiere.

JLR unveiled its new Range Rover Evoque, which was updated for the first time in eight years, in an attempt to halt its declining sales in the Chinese market.
