This report is a summary of major passenger cars exhibited by non-Japanese OEMs at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show (held from November 22 to December 1, 2013).
Exhibitors from Europe include Daimler, BMW, VW, Renault, PSA, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volvo Cars. Volvo's exhibition in Tokyo was the first time in six years. The new MINI Cooper made its world premiere as well as the BMW i3 and i8 uncovered in Japan. From VW Group, twin up! plug-in hybrid concept vehicle made its world debut. Some models including the Jaguar F-type Coupe, were unveiled simultaneously at the Los Angeles Auto Show. From the U.S., the big three were absent but Tesla Motors made its first appearance.
