Summary
- The Global Light Vehicle (LV) selling rate for October stood at a solid 91 mn units/year, in line with an upwardly revised September result. In year-on-year (YoY) terms, total sales grew by 2.3%, a good result considering the pandemic-induced challenges faced by the industry at present, though results were uneven across the globe.
- Once again, positive YoY growth in the US and China bolstered the headline figure, while Western Europe disappointed. While global sales are recovering in year-to-date (YTD) terms, they remain 17.0% below last year.
