Canada commits CAD 590 million for production of EVs and batteries at Ford's Oakville plant
On October 8, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, and the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, announced that Canadian government and the Ontario provincial government would each invest CAD 295 million in Ford’s Oakville Assembly Complex as part of a larger project to produce electric vehicles and batteries.
