1907	Founded in Gothenburg, Sweden.
1911	Established the first factory outside Sweden at Luton, the United Kingdom.
1914	Acquired 50% of a German bearing company.
1916	Acquired Hess-Bright Manufacturing of Philadelphia, the United States.
1916	Acquired steel works at Hofors, and the Katrineholm foundry.
1917	Built its first factory in France at Bois-Colombes, Paris.
1920	Established its subsidiary, SKF Industries Inc.
1936	Its subsidiary, British SKF, went public.
2010	Acquired lubrication systems provider Lincoln Industrial Corporation from Harbour Group of USA.
