History

Oct. 1923	Founded Mikuni Shoten, a limited partnership company, and started to import automobiles, bicycles and components.
Dec. 1933	Registered as Mikuni Shoten Co., Ltd.
Dec. 1936	Kamata Plant started production.
July, 1939	Renamed as Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd.
July, 1944	Odawara Plant started production.
Oct. 1948	Under the corporate reconstruction law, the company was split into 2 companies, No.2 Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd. (Kamata Plant and trading dept.) and Mikuni Seisakusho (Odawara Plant).
Feb. 1949	Started production of carburetors for small cars and mechanical pumps.
Apr. 1950	Renamed No.2 Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd. as Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd.
Apr. 1955	Merged with Mikuni Seisakusho Co., Ltd.
Oct. 1960	Licensing agreement with Solex, France, to produce Solex-type carburetors.
July, 1961	Renamed as Mikuni Kogyo Co., Ltd and transferred its trading business to newly established Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd.
Sep. 1961	Started over-the-counter listing at the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Oct. 1961	Listed on the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Sep. 1971	Tied up with SIT of Italy for production of gas burner safety devices and started production thereof.
July, 1972	Founded Tohoku Mikuni Kogyo Co., Ltd. (currently Mikuni Adec Corporation)
June, 1973	Capital participation in Mikuni American Corporation.
May, 1978	Started production at Kikugawa plant.
Aug. 1979	Mikuni Taiwan Corporation was founded.
Mar. 1980	Sold Kamata plant.
Apr. 1980	Started production at Yaita plant. Established Miikuni Logistic Service Co., Ltd.
Apr. 1986	Established Nippon Injection Corporation as a joint venture among Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Robert Bosch GmbH of Germany, and the Company.
May, 1988	Established Mikuni Partech Corporation.
Apr. 1991	Adopted the current company name, Mikuni Corporation.
May, 1991	Established Mikuni (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Oct. 1991	Transferred Yaita Plant's development division and production division for heaters to Mikuni Adec Corporation.
Nov. 1992	Production started at Sagara plant.
Nov. 1994	Established Mikuni (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
Nov. 1994	Established Chengdu Mikuni Hongguang Machinery &Electronics Co., Ltd.
May, 1995	Established Ningbo Mikuni Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. (currently consolidated company)
Dec. 1955	Established Tianjin Mikuni Co., Ltd. (currently consolidated company)
June, 1996	Established Mikuni Texas Company (currently consolidated company)
Mar. 2000	Transferred a portion of general purpose carburetor production to Mikuni ADEC (subsidiary) from Kikukawa Plant.
Oct. 2002	Acquired and merged Mikuni Adec.
Sep. 2008	Established Mikuni India Private Limited.
Jun. 2010	Established Mikuni Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
2011	The Company, together with Pierburg Pump Technology that is under the KSPG Group, established Pierburg Mikuni Pump Technology Corporation as a joint venture.
2012	Established Eberspaecher Mikuni Climate Control Systems Corporation, a joint venture with Eberspaecher to manufacture automotive heaters.
2012	Established a new joint venture in China, Pierburg Mikuni Pump Technology (Shanghai) Corp.
Mar. 2015	Listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Apr. 2022	Moved to the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange due to the TSE's reorganization.
