History

1994 Signed a joint-venture agreement whereby instrumentation panels would be manufactured in the People's Republic of China.
The Company boosted production both in Poland and Turkey.
1995 The Company's rationalization program in Italy, Germany, Brazil, Spain, and Great Britain were proceeded
The Company undertook a further joint-venture deal with the Walbro company for the manufacture of fuel delivery systems in Mexico.
A second joint-venture agreement was signed for the manufacture of instrument clusters in the People's Republic of China.
The Company underwrote two joint-venture deals for the manufacture of exhaust systems and oil/water pumps in Brazil.
1996 In Argentina a third joint venture (Magneti Marelli Denso) agreement was undertaken with the Japanese company Denso Corp in the Thermal Systems area.
Magneti Marelli Sistemas de Escape was established in Argentina. The new company would manufacture exhaust systems.
Co, acquired in Portugal the Joao de Deus company, a supplier of engine cooling systems.
1997 Purchased the controlling interest in the Brazilian company Cofap, the largest components maker in South America.
