Contracts

Gabriel India Limited
-In 2010, the Company supplies for Maruti-Suzuki's "Wagon R", "SX 4 diesel" and "Alto CD".

-In 2010, the Company supplies for Toyota's "Corolla Altis Diesel model".

-In 2010, the Company's development activities were completed for Volkswagen's "Vento", "Polo" and "Fabia" during the year. The Company will commence supply from June 2012.

-In 2010, the Company secured new business from Honda for new model "BRIO" planned for launch in 2012.

-In 2006, Gabriel India's Gurgaon facility commences Strut supplies to Maruti's new Sedan model "SX4" under Technical Assistance of KYB Corporation (JPN).

-In 2006, Gabriel India's Gurgaon Plant bags order for YC5 business for supply of shock Absorbers and struts for the new Suzuki export model with Technical Assistance from KYB Corporation (JPN).

Faurecia Emission Control Technologies (Formerly, Emcon Technologies India Private Limited)
-In September 2009, Emcon Technologies India Private Ltd. announced that it has received orders from Ford India to supply exhaust related components. (From a press release on September 26, 2009)

-In September 2009, Emcon Technologies India Private Ltd. has clinched a catalytic converter order from Nissan Renault Automotive India. The product is for the vehicles Nissan plans to make in India. (From a press release on September 26, 2009)

-In September 2009, Emcon Technologies India Private Ltd. announced that it will make exhaust systems for Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) at its Bangalore plant in India. The products are intended for TKM's small car model slated for launch in 2010. The Company is expanding the facility by 30 percent. (From a press release on September 26, 2009)

Behr India Limited
-In February 2008, Behr India announced that it is to supply the air conditioning system for the Tata "Nano" as of June 2008. The contract package encompasses the HVAC module, the manual control head and the condenser. For the HVAC assembly, Behr is currently setting up a new plant in Singur near Calcutta. Production at the new site is slated to start in mid-2008.

Joint Ventures

-In January 2009, the Company has entered into a joint venture agreement with Takata Corporation to manufacture airbags, seatbelts and steering wheels in India for the Indian OEMs. The joint venture company, Takata India Private Limited (Takata India), will be majority owned by Takata. Subsequently, the Company began the construction of a new plant in Chennai, India and is also planning to build another domestic plant in Neemrana, near Delhi. (From a press release on Jan. 5, 2009)

-In October 2008, Anand Group created a joint venture with Valeo in Chennai, India. The new company, Valeo Lighting Systems India Private Limited, will be majority-owned by Valeo. The joint venture will develop, produce and sell lighting products including headlamps, rear lamps and fog lamps, for automakers serving the Indian market. (From a press release on Oct 2, 2008)

Product Development

-In 2010, the Company has introduced "PVD" coated rings in market. This has advantage of improved life of both liners and piston rings.

Victor Gasket India Limited
-The Company developed "Multi layered steel cylinder head gaskets" for diesel and gasoline engines.

Investment Activities

Gabriel India Limited
-In Nov. 2008, Gabriel India Ltd. inaugurated its Parwanoo plant in India. The plant will manufacture front forks for two wheelers and shock absorbers for all vehicle segments.

-In 2006, capacity expansion at Gabriel India's Chakan Plant was taken place to meet increasing demand from passenger vehicle segment.

Spicer India Limited
-In Feb. 2010, the Company is expanding its facility at Chakan near Pune, India, to set up a plant to manufacture gears and a testing center. The plant will produce 240,000 hypoid gear sets annually for the Indian OEMs. Dana has developed the AdvanTEK series of axles for the Indian automotive market, which will also be manufactured in India. Mahle Filter Systems India Limited
-In Aug. 2009, Mahle Filter Systems India Ltd (MFSI) has inaugurated second plant in Parwanoo, India, with the investment of Rs 60 million. The new plant will manufacture the PU moulded filter elements, plastic embedded filter elements and lube oil spin-on filters. The annual production capacity is expected to be 22 million filters. These products will be supplied to such customers like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, GM and Bosch. The facility will become operative by February 2010 and will generate annual revenue of Rs 500 million. MFSI, a joint venture between Mahle Group and Anand Automotive Systems, already has three plants at Parwanoo, Gurgaon and Pune. (From a press release on Aug. 22, 2009)

Faurecia Emission Control Technologies (Formerly, Emcon Technologies India Private Limited)
-In Sep. 2009, Emcon Technologies India Private Ltd. announced it is setting up a plant in Sanand, Gujarat, India. The facility will produce mufflers for Tata "Nano" with an initial capacity of 100,000 units annually. This will be the Company's third plant, the other two being in Chennai and Bangalore. -In Apr. 2008, Emcon Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., a 74:26 joint venture between US-based Emcon Technologies and the Group, inaugurated its new manufacturing plant at Chennai. This plant produces exhaust systems including catalytic converters, side impact beams, reinforcement panel assembly for the automotive industry. The two parties have invested 4 million USD in this project, a further investment of 10 million USD in future is envisaged. The Company is considering the possibility of setting up an additional facility in Western India.

Behr India Limited
-In 2007, Behr India, a joint venture of Behr Gmbh & Co. and the Group, has invested 17 million USD in a new plant in western India to make automotive parts. The plant, near Pune, will make engine cooling modules, heat exchangers, condensers and other components for vehicle markers in India. Behr India, which had sales of 65millon dollars in 2006, expects sales in 2007 to rise to 90 million dollars.

-In Jan. 2007, Behr India announced that it is inaugurating its new manufacturing plant at Chakan in Pune. Both Behr and the Group invested 12 million USD in this project already in 2006 and envisage a further investment of 5 million USD in 2007. This plant will produce HVAC modules, engine cooling modules, heat exchangers including, charge air coolers, condensers and Visco fan drive systems.

Mando India Limited
-In October 2006, Mando Brake Systems India is working on doubling its brake production capacity and it will supply shock systems for future models of Hyundai which will be manufactured at Sriperubundur plant. Its current capacity is around 300,000 brake system units, and now it is being ramped up to more than 600,000 units in the next two years to keep pace with Hyundai's plans.

Haldex India Limited
-In Jan. 2006, Haldex India has commissioned a Self-setting Automatic Brake Adjuster (S-ABA) manufacturing facility at Nashik, Maharashtra. Established at a capital outlay of around Rs. 100 million, the unit will have a 500 million capacity in the first phase of operation.
