Business Highlights

Business Overview

-In 2013, the Company's  sales is over ten billion yuan, up to 11.04 billion yuan.

-The Company sold over 100,000 unites lightweight aluminum transmissions and over 20,000 units 6DS bus transmissions.

Capacity Expansion

- Recently, the company completed its first phrase of revamping production lines and increased an additional capacity of 4,000 units H400B hydro dynamic retarders.  (From a press release on February 1, 2013)

Order

-Xi'an FC Intelligence Transmission Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, has received an order from Caterpillar of the U.S. Xi'an FC Intelligence Transmission will mass-produce twelve new gears developed on its own. (From a press release on October 19, 2013)

-On August 28, 2013, the Company has become the only gearbox supplier for Volvo's new products "QUESTER UD" series trucks.

-The Company announced that it has started to mass-produce its new, lightweight transmissions. The company will be supplying ithe lightweight transmissions series, namely the 16JSD, 12JSD, 10JSD, RTD, 9JSD, 6DS, AMT, and 20JS200 to various automakers such as Shaanxi Heavy Automobile, Foton AUMA, Baotou Beiben Heavy-Duty Truck, GAC Hino, FAW Qingdao, and FAW Jiefang. It is already enjoying large demand especially for its 6DS transmissions for bus applications. The 6DS will be installed on public buses operated in 10 cities, which include Changchun, Shenyang and Xi'an. (From news releases issued by multiple sources on July 2, 2013)

- Xi'an FC Intelligence Transmission Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, has started supplying its CX series transmission systems, which are China’s first 6-speed hydraulic automatic transmission for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. These products are being delivered to Shanxi Heavy Automobile, Beiben Heavy-duty Truck, Yangzhou Shengda Special Type Vehicle, Suzhou King Long and other customers. In addition, the company is currently in talks with other Chinese heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers such as FAW, Auman, and Dongfeng. (From a press release, March 7, 2013)

Patents

- As of the end of 2013, the Company has 166 national patents, 52 patents for core technology and products. The patent of "lock-pin auto synchronizer"  was granted a U.S. patent.

Investment Activities

Domestic Investment

-Xi'an FC Intelligence Transmission, a joint-venture between the the Company and Caterpillar, began commercial production on January 17, 2014. This is the first time that Shaanxi Fast and Caterpillar inaugurate an automatic transmission joint venture in China. The facility is located on a 176,000 square meter plot at the Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone. The total investment in the joint venture has reached CNY 1 billion. When the plant begins full-scale operations, it will be able to produce 120,000 large automatic transmissions and 1.5 million construction machinery components per year. Annual sales at the joint venture are expected to reach CNY 10 billion. (From a press release on January 17, 2014)

Overseas Investment

-The Company broke ground for Fast Auto Drive (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Rayong Thailand on September 15, 2013. The subsidiary will become the Chinese supplier’s first overseas production base. Shaanxi Fast will invest CNY 200 million in the first phase of the construction project on approximately 26,600 square meters of land. The new plant will produce 6-, 9-, 12- and 16-speed twin countershaft transmissions for Volvo Trucks’ local facility. The subsidiary hopes to become Volvo’s exclusive transmission supplier in Thailand, while becoming a major player in the commercial vehicle industry in Southeast Asia. It will serve as the first independent supplier of medium- and heavy-duty transmissions in ASEAN countries. The company aims to produce 70,000 transmissions per year to achieve CNY 1 billion in sales. (From a press release, September 24, 2013)
