Brazilian vehicle both production and exports down in December, up and down in 2019
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in December 2019 of 170,501 units represented a 3.9% decrease from December one year ago.
A total of 2,944,962 vehicles were produced in 2019, a 2.3% increase from the same period in 2018.
Of the vehicles produced in 2019, 2,449,215 were passenger cars; 354,603 were commercial vehicles; 113,476 were trucks, and 27,668 were buses.
Exports of 28,998 assembled vehicles in December represented a 8.5% decrease from the units exported in December 2018.
Vehicle exports in 2019 totaled 428,198 units, a 31.9% decrease from the same period in 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in 2019, 347,029 were passenger cars; 60,481 were commercial vehicles; 13,552 were trucks, and 7,136 were buses.
A total of 6,836 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in 2019, comprised of 170 passenger car, 4,346 truck, and 2,320 bus kits.

Brazilian vehicle production down 7.1%, exports down 7.9% in November

On December 5, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in November 2019 of 227,455 units represented an derease of 21.2% from October, and a 7.1% decrease from November one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in November, 186,422 were passenger cars; 30,223 were commercial vehicles; 8,764 were trucks, and 2,046 were buses.
A total of 2,774,484 vehicles were produced in the first eleven months of 2019, a 2.7% increase from the same period in 2018.
Exports of 31,734 assembled vehicles in November represented a increase of 5.9% from October, and a 7.9% decrease from the units exported in November 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in November, 25,129 were passenger cars; 4,718 were commercial vehicles; 1,242 were trucks, and 645 were buses.
Vehicle exports in the first eleven months of 2019 totaled 399,197 units, a 33.2% decrease from the same period in 2018.
A total of 474 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in November, comprised of 10 passenger car, 380 truck, and 84 bus kits.

Brazilian vehicle production up 9.6%, exports down 22.6% in October
On November 5, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in October 2019 of 288,512 units represented an increase of 16.6% from September, and a 9.6% increase from October one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in October, 230,403 were passenger cars; 44,180 were commercial vehicles; 11,279 were trucks, and 2,650 were buses.
A total of 2,547,022 vehicles were produced in the first ten months of 2019, a 3.6% increase from the same period in 2018.
Exports of 29,964 assembled vehicles in October represented a decrease of 18.2% from September, and a 22.6% decrease from the units exported in October 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in October, 23,810 were passenger cars; 4,158 were commercial vehicles; 1,499 were trucks, and 497 were buses.
Vehicle exports in the first ten months of 2019 totaled 367,463 units, a 34.7% decrease from the same period in 2018.
A total of 612 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in October, comprised of 10 passenger car, 424 truck, and 178 bus kits.

Brazilian vehicle production up 10.9%, exports down 7.1% in September
On October 5, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in September 2019 of 247,333 units represented a decrease of 8.3% from August, but a 10.9% increase from September one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in September, 198,559 were passenger cars; 35,955 were commercial vehicles; 10,406 were trucks, and 2,413 were buses.
A total of 2,258,388 vehicles were produced in the first nine months of 2019, a 2.9% increase from the same period in 2018.
Exports of 36,640 assembled vehicles in September represented a decrease of 0.2% from August, and a 7.1% decrease from the units exported in September 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in September, 27,394 were passenger cars; 7,798 were commercial vehicles; 984 were trucks, and 464 were buses.
A total of 712 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in September, comprised of 10 passenger car, 486 truck, and 216 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first nine months of 2019 totaled 337,449 units, a 35.6% decrease from the same period in 2018.

On September 5, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in August 2019 of 269,809 units represented a 7.3% decrease from August one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in August, 221,531 were passenger cars; 34,880 were commercial vehicles; 10,732 were trucks, and 2,666 were buses.
Exports of 36,717 assembled vehicles in August represented a 34.6% decrease from the units exported in August 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in August, 30,215 were passenger cars; 4,703 were commercial vehicles; 1,353 were trucks, and 446 were buses.
A total of 685 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in August, comprised of 515 truck and 170 bus kits.

On August 5, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in July 2019 of 266,371 units represented an increase of 14.2% from June, and a 8.4% increase from July one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in July, 221,232 were passenger cars; 31,581 were commercial vehicles; 10,918 were trucks, and 2,640 were buses.
Exports of 42,115 assembled vehicles in July represented an increase of 4.2% from June, but a 15.3% decrease from the units exported in July 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in July, 35,709 were passenger cars; 4,384 were commercial vehicles; 1,510 were trucks, and 512 were buses.
A total of 681 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in July, comprised of 10 passenger car, 474 truck, and 197 bus kits.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in June 2019 of 233,113 units represented a decrease of 15.5% from May, and a 9.0% decrease from June one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in June, 190,492 were passenger cars; 30,252 were commercial vehicles; 10,035 were trucks, and 2,334 were buses.
Exports of 40,304 assembled vehicles in June represented a decrease of 4.3% from May, and a decrease 37.9% decrease from the units exported in June 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in June, 33,059 were passenger cars; 5,727 were commercial vehicles; 1,000 were trucks, and 518 were buses.
A total of 810 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in June, comprised of 20 passenger car, 535 truck, and 255 bus kits.

On June 6, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in May 2019 of 275,747 units represented an increase of 3.1% from April, and a 29.9% increase from May one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in May, 230,180 were passenger cars; 31,562 were commercial vehicles; 11,230 were trucks, and 2,775 were buses.
Exports of 42,126 assembled vehicles in May represented an increase of 20.7% from April, but a 30.7% decrease from the units exported in May 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in May, 34,983 were passenger cars; 5,269 were commercial vehicles; 1,323 were trucks, and 551 were buses.
A total of 782 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in May, comprised of 10 passenger car, 414 truck, and 358 bus kits.

On May 7, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in April 2019 of 267,546 units represented an increase of 11.2% from March, and a 0.5% increase from April one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in April, 225,099 were passenger cars; 30,327 were commercial vehicles; 9,412 were trucks, and 2,798 were buses.
Exports of 34,905 assembled vehicles in April represented a decrease of 10.5% from March, and a 52.3% decrease from the units exported in April 2018.
Of the vehicles exported in April, 27,135 were passenger cars; 6,103 were commercial vehicles; 1,104 were trucks, and 563 were buses.
A total of 653 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in April, comprised of 60 passenger car, 388 truck, and 205 bus kits.

On April 4, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in March 2019 of 240,546 units represented a decrease of 6.4% from February, and a 10.1% decrease from March one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in March, 202,868 were passenger cars; 27,688 were commercial vehicles; 8,319 were trucks, and 1,671 were buses.
Exports of 39,018 assembled vehicles in March represented a decrease of 3.7% from February, and a 42.2% decrease from the units exported in March 2018, largely due to the depressed Argentinian market.
Of the vehicles exported in March, 31,837 were passenger cars; 4,967 were commercial vehicles; 1,193 were trucks, and 1,021 were buses.
A total of 507 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in March, comprised of 10 passenger car, 227 truck, and 270 bus kits.

Brazilian vehicle production up 20.5%, exports down 38.9% in February
On March 8, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in February 2019 of 257,233 units represented an increase of 29.9% from January, as well as a 20.5% increase from February one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in February, 217,089 were passenger cars; 27,987 were commercial vehicles; 9,631 were trucks, and 2,526 were buses.
Exports of 40,510 assembled vehicles in February represented an increase of 61.8% from January, though a 38.9% decrease from the units exported in February 2018, largely due to the depressed Argentinian market.
Of the vehicles exported in February, 33,475 were passenger cars; 5,518 were commercial vehicles; 806 were trucks, and 711 were buses.
A total of 302 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in February, comprised of 10 passenger car, 165 truck, and 127 bus kits.

Brazilian vehicle production down 10.0%, exports down 46.0% in January
On February 6, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in January 2019 of 196,767 units represented a decrease of 10.9% from December 2018, as well as a 10.0% decrease from January one year ago.
Of the vehicles produced in January, 163,693 were passenger cars; 24,344 were commercial vehicles; 6,811 were trucks, and 1,919 were buses.
Exports of 25,034 assembled vehicles in January represented a decrease of 21.1% from December 2018, as well as a 46.0% decrease from the units exported in January 2018, largely due to the depressed market of Argentina, its major trading partner.
Of the vehicles exported in January, 21,485 were passenger cars; 2,681 were commercial vehicles; 520 were trucks, and 348 were buses.
A total of 183 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in January, comprised of 10 passenger car, 61 truck, and 112 bus kits.
