Brazilian vehicle production up 11.6%, exports up 16.0% in 2021
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in December 2021 of 210,925 units represented a 0.8% increase from December one year ago.
A total of 2,248,253 vehicles were produced in 2021, a 11.6% increase from 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in 2021, 1,707,851 were passenger cars; 362,711 were commercial vehicles; 158,810 were trucks, and 18,881 were buses.
Exports of 41,581 assembled vehicles in December represented a 8.3% increase from the units exported in December 2020.
Vehicle exports in 2021 totaled 376,383 units, a 16.0% increase from 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in 2021, 298,012 were passenger cars; 51,438 were commercial vehicles; 22,699 were trucks, and 4,234 were buses.
A total of 8,001 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in 2021, comprised of 6,090 truck, and 1,911 bus kits.

Brazilian vehicle production in November down 13.5%, exports down 36.3%
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in November 2021 of 206,042 units represented a decrease of 13.5% from November 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in November, 159,632 were passenger cars; 30,447 were commercial vehicles; 14,380 were trucks, and 1,583 were buses.
A total of 2,037,650 vehicles were produced in the first eleven months of 2021, up 12.9% year-on-year.
Exports of 28,018 assembled vehicles in November represented a decrease of 36.3% from November 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in November, 22,355 were passenger cars; 3,378 were commercial vehicles; 1,800 were trucks, and 485were buses.
A total of 752 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in November, comprised of 576 truck and 176 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first eleven months of 2021 totaled 334,802 units, up 17.1% year-on-year.

Brazilian vehicle production in October down 24.8%, exports down 14.6%
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in October 2021 of 177,864 units represented a decrease of 24.8% from October 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in October, 134,283 were passenger cars; 28,695 were commercial vehicles; 13,582 were trucks, and 1,304 were buses.
A total of 1,827,707 vehicles were produced in the first ten months of 2021, up 16.7% year-on-year.
Exports of 29,803 assembled vehicles in October represented a decrease of 14.6% from October 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in October, 23,072 were passenger cars; 4,115 were commercial vehicles; 2,305 were trucks, and 311 were buses.
A total of 724 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in October, comprised of 640 truck and 84 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first ten months of 2021 totaled 306,784 units, up 26.8% year-on-year.

Brazilian vehicle production in September down 21.3%, exports down 22.5%
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in September 2021 of 173,287 units represented a decrease of 21.3% from September 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in September, 133,068 were passenger cars; 25,205 were commercial vehicles; 13,816 were trucks, and 1,198 were buses.
A total of 1,649,343 vehicles were produced in the first nine months of 2021, up 24.0% year-on-year.
Exports of 23,639 assembled vehicles in September represented a decrease of 22.5% from September 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in September, 18,391 were passenger cars; 3,025 were commercial vehicles; 1,976 were trucks, and 247 were buses.
A total of 783 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in September, comprised of 683 truck and 100 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first nine months of 2021 totaled 276,981 units, up 33.8% year-on-year.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in August 2021 of 164,027 units represented a decrease of 21.9% from August 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in August, 119,091 were passenger cars; 28,463 were commercial vehicles; 14,963 were trucks, and 1,510 were buses.
A total of 1,476,053 vehicles were produced in the first eight months of 2021, up 33.0% year-on-year.
Exports of 29,443 assembled vehicles in August represented an increase of 5.5% from August 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in August, 21,830 were passenger cars; 5,162 were commercial vehicles; 2,068 were trucks, and 383 were buses.
A total of 824 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported
 in August, comprised of 515 truck and 309 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first eight months of 2021 totaled 253,341 units, up 43.5% year-on-year.

Brazil vehicle production down 4.2%, exports down 18.4%, sales up 0.6% in July
On August 6, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in July 2021 of 163,556 units represented a decrease of 2.0% from June, and a decrease of 4.2% from July 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in July, 117,568 were passenger cars; 29,164 were commercial vehicles; 14,801 were trucks, and 1,533 were buses.
Exports of 23,766 assembled vehicles in July represented a decrease of 29.1% from June, and an 18.4% decrease from the units exported in July 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in July, 18,126 were passenger cars; 3,425 were commercial vehicles; 1,884 were trucks, and 331 were buses.
A total of 702 CKD kits were exported in July, consisting of 579 trucks and 123 buses.
New vehicle sales of 175,453 vehicles in July represented a decrease of 3.8% from June, but a 0.6% increase from sales in July 2020.
Of the new vehicles sold in July, 123,598 were passenger cars; 38,608 were commercial vehicles, 11,977 were trucks, and 1,270 were buses.
Of those vehicles sold in July, 3.3% had gasoline engines, 2.2% were EV/HVs, 78.8% were flex fuel, and 15.6% were diesels.

Brazilian vehicle production in June up 69.6%, exports up 72.6% (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in June 2021 of 166,947 units represented an increase of 69.6% from June 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in June, 118,861 were passenger cars; 31,825 were commercial vehicles; 14,639 were trucks, and 1,622 were buses.
A total of 1,148,470 vehicles were produced in the first six months of 2021, up 57.5% year-on-year.
Exports of 33,512 assembled vehicles in June represented an increase of 72.6% from June 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in June, 27,517 were passenger cars; 3,886 were commercial vehicles; 1,768 were trucks, and 341 were buses.
A total of 767 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in June, comprised of 598 truck and 169 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first six months of 2021 totaled 200,132 units, up 67.5% year-on-year.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in May 2021 of 192,843 units represented an increase of 347.6% from May 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in May, 141,798 were passenger cars; 35,483 were commercial vehicles; 13,908 were trucks, and 1,654 were buses.
A total of 981,523 vehicles were produced in the first five months of 2021, up 55.6% year-on-year.
Exports of 36,974 assembled vehicles in May represented an increase of 855.4% from May 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in May 29,625 were passenger cars; 5,167 were commercial vehicles; 1,797 were trucks, and 385 were buses.
A total of 593 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in May, comprised of 367 truck and 226 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first fifth months of 2021 totaled 166,610 units, up 66.5% year-on-year.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in April 2021 of 190,907 units represented an increase of 10,236.1% from April 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in April, 147,859 were passenger cars; 28,083 were commercial vehicles; 13,093 were trucks, and 1,872 were buses.
A total of 788,680 vehicles were produced in the first four months of 2021, up 34.2% year-on-year.
Exports of 33,877 assembled vehicles in April represented an increase of 369.7% from April 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in April 27,182 were passenger cars; 4,490 were commercial vehicles; 1,887 were trucks, and 318 were buses.
A total of 591 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in April, comprised of 415 truck and 176 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first four months of 2021 totaled 129,636 units, up 34.7% year-on-year.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in March 2021 of 200,340 units represented an increase of 5.5% from March 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in March, 154,138 were passenger cars; 31,580 were commercial vehicles; 12,472 were trucks, and 2,150 were buses.
A total of 597,773 vehicles were produced in the first three months of 2021, up 2.0% year-on-year.
Exports of 36,782 assembled vehicles in March represented an increase of 19.5% from March 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in March 31,098 were passenger cars; 3,364 were commercial vehicles; 1,948 were trucks, and 372 were buses.
A total of 544 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in March, comprised of 380 truck and 164 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first two months of 2021 totaled 95,764 units, up 7.6% year-on-year.

Brazilian vehicle production in February down 3.5%, exports down 12.2% (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in February 2021 of 197,035 units represented an decrease of 3.5% from February 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in February, 155,069 were passenger cars; 28,572 were commercial vehicles; 11,805 were trucks, and 1,589 were buses.
A total of 396,742 vehicles were produced in the first two months of 2021, up 0.2% year-on-year.
Exports of 33,064 assembled vehicles in February represented a decrease of 12.2% from February 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in February, 25,121 were passenger cars; 5,763 were commercial vehicles; 1,958 were trucks, and 222 were buses.
A total of 495 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in February, comprised of 364 truck and 131 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first two months of 2021 totaled 58,104 units, down 0.2% year-on-year.

Brazilian vehicle production in January up 4.2%, exports up 21.9% (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in January 2021 of 199,707 units represented an increase of 4.2% from January 2020.
Of the vehicles produced in January, 157,264 were passenger cars; 32,457 were commercial vehicles; 8,560 were trucks, and 1,426 were buses.
Exports of 25,040 assembled vehicles in January represented an increase of 21.9% from January 2020.
Of the vehicles exported in January, 20,133 were passenger cars; 3,286 were commercial vehicles; 1,370 were trucks, and 251 were buses.
A total of 229 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in January, comprised of 145 truck and 84 bus kits.
