Brazilian vehicle production up 5.4%, exports up 27.8% in 2022
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in December 2022 of 191,457 units represented a 9.2% decrease from December one year ago.
A total of 2,369,659 vehicles were produced in 2022, a 5.4% increase from 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in 2022, 1823,674 were passenger cars; 352,505 were commercial vehicles; 161,816 were trucks, and 31,664 were buses.
Exports of 31,242 assembled vehicles in December represented a 24.9% decrease from the units exported in December 2021.
Vehicle exports in 2022 totaled 480,947 units, a 27.8% increase from 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in 2022, 386,176 were passenger cars; 64,103 were commercial vehicles; 25,455 were trucks, and 5,213 were buses.
A total of 10,177 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in 2022, comprised of 6,845 truck, and 3,332 bus kits.

Brazil vehicle production up 4.9%, exports up 55.0% in November (ANFAVEA)
On December 7, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in November 2022 of 215,796 units represented an increase of 4.9% from November 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in November, 168,136 were passenger cars; 29,570 were commercial vehicles; 15,121 were trucks and 2,969 were buses.
A total of 2,178,202 vehicles were produced in the eleven months of 2022, up 6.9% year-on-year.
Exports of 43,437 assembled vehicles in November represented a 55.0% increase from the units exported in November 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in November, 35,370 were passenger cars; 5,311 were commercial vehicles; 2,466 were trucks, and 290 buses.
A total of 1,203 CKD kits were exported in November, consisting of 823 trucks and 380 buses.
Vehicle exports in the eleven months of 2022 totaled 449,705 units, up 34.3% year-on-year.

Brazil vehicle production up 15.1%, exports up 43.5% in October (ANFAVEA)
On November 8 the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in October 2022 of 206,044 units represented an increase of 15.1% from October 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in October, 164,674 were passenger cars; 22,662 were commercial vehicles; 15,582 were trucks and 3,126 were buses.
A total of 1,962,406 vehicles were produced in the ten months of 2022, up 7.1% year-on-year.
Exports of 42,765 assembled vehicles in October represented a 43.5% increase from the units exported in October 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in October, 34,109 were passenger cars; 5,069 were commercial vehicles; 3,000 were trucks, and 587 buses.
A total of 1,085 CKD kits were exported in October, consisting of 759 trucks and 326 buses.
Vehicle exports in the ten months of 2022 totaled 406,268 units, up 32.4% year-on-year.

Brazil vehicle production up 19.3%, exports up 20.7% in September (ANFAVEA)
On October 7, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in September 2022 of 207,762 units represented an increase of 19.3% from September 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in September, 153,872 were passenger cars; 35,135 were commercial vehicles; 14,956 were trucks and 3,799 were buses.
A total of 1,756,362 vehicles were produced in the nine months of 2022, up 6.3% year-on-year.
Exports of 28,544 assembled vehicles in September represented a 20.7% increase from the units exported in September 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in September, 22,285 were passenger cars; 3,163 were commercial vehicles; 2,487 were trucks, and 609 buses.
A total of 927 CKD kits were exported in September, consisting of 701 trucks and 226 buses.
Vehicle exports in the nine months of 2022 totaled 363,503 units, up 31.2% year-on-year.

Brazil vehicle production up 43.9%, exports up 58.9% in August (ANFAVEA)
On September 9, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in August 2022 of 237,961 units represented an increase of 8.7% from July, and an increase of 43.9% from August 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in August, 181,017 were passenger cars; 36,157 were commercial vehicles; 17,223 were trucks, and 3,564 were buses.
A total of 1,548,600 vehicles were produced in the eight months of 2022, up 4.7% year-on-year.
Exports of 46,793 assembled vehicles in August represented an increase of 11.7% from July, and a 58.9% increase from the units exported in August 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in August, 37,411 were passenger cars; 6,366 were commercial vehicles; 2,335 were trucks, and 681were buses.
A total of 941 CKD kits were exported in August, consisting of 678 trucks and 263 buses.
Vehicle exports in the eight months of 2022 totaled 334,959 units, up 32.2% year-on-year.

On August 8, the Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in July 2022 of 218,950 units represented an increase of 7.5% from June, and an increase of 33.4% from July 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in July, 160,631 were passenger cars; 42,465 were commercial vehicles; 12,724 were trucks, and 3,130 were buses.
A total of 1,310,639 vehicles were produced in the seven months of 2022, down 0.2% year-on-year.
Exports of 41,906 assembled vehicles in July represented a decrease of 11.4% from June, and a 76.3% increase from the units exported in July 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in July, 35,339 were passenger cars; 4,025 were commercial vehicles; 2,017 were trucks, and 525 were buses.
A total of 1,008 CKD kits were exported in July, consisting of 683 trucks and 325 buses.
Vehicle exports in the seven months of 2022 totaled 288,166 units, up 28.7% year-on-year.

Brazilian vehicle production in June up 21.5%, exports up 41.2% (ANFAVEA)
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in June 2022 of 203,598 units represented an increase of 21.5% from June 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in June, 158,384 were passenger cars; 28,853 were commercial vehicles; 13,370 were trucks, and 2,991 were buses.
A total of 1,091,689 vehicles were produced in the six months of 2022, down 5.0% year-on-year.
Exports of 47,316 assembled vehicles in June represented an increase of 41.2% from June 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in June, 36,872 were passenger cars; 7,791 were commercial vehicles; 2,204 were trucks, and 449 buses.
A total of 924 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in June, comprised of 631 truck and 293 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the six months of 2022 totaled 246,261 units, up 23.0% year-on-year.

Brazilian vehicle production in May up 6.8%, exports up 24.6%
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in May 2022 of 205,916 units represented an increase of 6.8% from May 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in May, 159,834 were passenger cars; 29,122 were commercial vehicles; 13,947 were trucks, and 3,013 were buses.
A total of 888,091 vehicles were produced in the first five months of 2022, down 9.5% year-on-year.
Exports of 46,069 assembled vehicles in May represented an increase of 24.6% from May 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in May, 37,239 were passenger cars; 6,144 were commercial vehicles; 2,263 were trucks, and 423 buses.
A total of 768 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in May, comprised of 383 truck and 385 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first five months of 2022 totaled 198,945 units, up 19.4% year-on-year.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in April 2022 of 185,449 units represented a decrease of 2.9% from April 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in April, 144,517 were passenger cars; 29,823 were commercial vehicles; 9,483 were trucks, and 1,626 were buses.
A total of 681,587 vehicles were produced in the first four months of 2022, down 13.6% year-on-year.
Exports of 44,819 assembled vehicles in April represented an increase of 32.3% from April 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in April, 36,341 were passenger cars; 6,189 were commercial vehicles; 1,984 were trucks, and 305 buses.
A total of 536 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in April, comprised of 373 truck and 163 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first four months of 2022 totaled 152,874 units, up 17.9% year-on-year.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in March 2022 of 184,786 units represented a decrease of 7.8% from March 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in March, 139,634 were passenger cars; 29,200 were commercial vehicles; 13,531 were trucks, and 2,421 were buses.
A total of 496,138 vehicles were produced in the first three months of 2022, down 17.0% year-on-year.
Exports of 38,898 assembled vehicles in March represented an increase of 5.8% from March 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in March, 32,823 were passenger cars; 3,628 were commercial vehicles; 2,049 were trucks, and 398were buses.
A total of 942 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in March, comprised of 604 truck and 338 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first three months of 2022 totaled 108,055 units, up 12.8% year-on-year.

Brazilian vehicle production in February down 15.8%, exports up 25.4%
The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in February 2022 of 165,935 units represented a decrease of 15.8% from February 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in February, 130,221 were passenger cars; 22,369 were commercial vehicles; 11,389 were trucks, and 1,956 were buses.
A total of 311,352 vehicles were produced in the first two months of 2022, down 21.7% year-on-year.
Exports of 41,449 assembled vehicles in February represented an increase of 25.4% from February 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in February, 32,052 were passenger cars; 7,715 were commercial vehicles; 1,455 were trucks, and 227 were buses.
A total of 560 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in February, comprised of 353 truck and 207 bus kits.
Vehicle exports in the first two months of 2022 totaled 69,157 units, up 17.3% year-on-year.

The Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automores (ANFAVEA) announced that Brazilian vehicle production (excluding CKD production) in January 2022 of 145,417 units represented a decrease of 27.4% from January 2021.
Of the vehicles produced in January, 112,323 were passenger cars; 22,306 were commercial vehicles; 9,463 were trucks, and 1,325 were buses.
Exports of 27,638 assembled vehicles in January represented an increase of 6.6% from January 2021.
Of the vehicles exported in January, 21,710 were passenger cars; 4,402 were commercial vehicles; 1,181 were trucks, and 345 were buses.
A total of 305 complete knock down (CKD) kits were exported in January, comprised of 194 truck and 111 bus kits.
