SAECCE 2021第七届中国载货车技术年会及商用车技术专题分会场
SAE China 2021 China Truck Technology Conference

The 7th China Truck Technology Annual Conference and Commercial Vehicle Technology Subcommittee Meeting was held on October 21, 2021. At the conference, academic and industry experts were invited to speak on the future trends of China's truck industry under the dual carbon goals of carbon peak-out and carbon neutrality and the problems that must be solved quickly for key technologies. This report will introduce the contents of presentations given by representatives of Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Co., Ltd. (Shaanxi Heavy Auto), FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. (FAW Jiefang), and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. (Dongfeng Liuzhou). Shaanxi Heavy Auto introduced a low-carbon technology roadmap for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. FAW Jiefang discussed trends in the development of trucks, and Dongfeng Liuzhou addressed automotive weight reduction solutions.

The Chinese government declared in September 2020 that China would achieve carbon peak-out by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. The implementation of the "carbon peak-out and carbon neutrality" strategy has become an important pathway for a green economy and sustainable development in China. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the number of commercial vehicles sold in China in 2020 was 5,133,000 units, of which 4,865,000 were trucks. As a component of the transportation sector, trucks play an important role in realizing the carbon peak-out and carbon neutrality goals.
