  Auto Shanghai 2021, the 19th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, was opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai April 19, 2021. April 19 and 20 were press days, April 21 through 23 were for members of the industry, and April 24 until 28 were the days when the Show was open to the public. This report introduces the exhibits of the SAIC Motor (hereinafter, SAIC) Group, the Dongfeng Motor Group, and China FAW (hereinafter, FAW) Group, focusing on new energy vehicle (hereinafter, NEV) models and some gasoline vehicle models.

  The SAIC Group exhibited more than 160 new models, partly because it was held locally. More than 10 models, including concept cars, were shown to the public for the first time. Roewe officially launched its new ME series. Zhiji Motor (hereinafter, IM) exhibited for the first time at the show, and R Auto, a high-end electric car brand, displayed three models. In addition, the Hongguang MINIEV Cabrio, a small EV unveiled by SAIC-GM-Wuling Motors, was popular.

  The Dongfeng Motor Group showcased many of its own brand vehicles, including those of the Dongfeng Fengshen, Dongfeng Fengxing, and Dongfeng Fengguang brands. The Fengshen brand presented the world premiere of the Dongfeng Yixuan MAX. Many concept models such as Dongfeng's "e.π2021," Fengguang's "S-007," and the family-oriented Fengxing model were exhibited and attracted attention. In addition, Voyah, a high-end intelligent electric vehicle brand under the Dongfeng Group umbrella, exhibited its "Voyah Free” production model SUV for the first time.

  The FAW Group exhibited only its own brand, Hongqi, at the booth. At the Hongqi brand presentation meeting, the company showed off its new concept models, the EV-Concept and the L-Concept, as well as the E-QM5 electric EV sedan, and new models such as the E-HS9 medium and large-sized electric SUV. The company also shared the latest research and development technology of the Hongqi brand with the audience.
