The GSMA Mobile World Congress Barcelona, in short MWC™ Barcelona, is an annual four-day event organized by the GSM Association. Also the 19th edition took place at the Fira Gran Via event site in Barcelona from March, 3 to 6, 2025.

  Bringing together thought leaders and visionaries, leaders from the mobile ecosystem and diverse industry sectors – from startups and investors to SMEs and multi-nationals alongside global policymakers driving the digital economy – MWC25 Barcelona is the ultimate confluence of ideas, technology and people.

  Under the event theme "Converge. Connect. Create.", this year’s event and conference program spotlighted technological and digital change across the sub-themes of "Our Digital DNA" "Game Changers" "Enterprise Re-invented" "Connect X" "5G Inside" and "AI+".

  The MWC is thus the place where people come together, connect with each other, share ideas and work to create a better future for everyone. The 2025 MWC™ Barcelona hosted over 2,900 exhibitors, including over 1,000 start-ups and it was visited by 109,000 attendees from 205 countries and territories.

  Hall eight was dedicated to start-up companies again in the framework of the 4YFN (Four Years from Now) program. The number of startups increased from 930 last year to over 1,000 this year. The goal of the 4YFN event is to support start-ups, investors and companies to connect and launch new business ventures together.

  The total event report is divided into two parts. This is part two, which addresses technologies for increasing vehicle and road safety and optimizing traffic flow, as well as solutions for the improving SDV development process. Part one focuses on smart mobility concepts and solutions that leverage AI, 5G, and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) to enhance efficiency, safety and connectivity.

  Next year's MWC™ Barcelona will take place from 2-5 March 2026.
