2024 China Auto Forum Conference Forum

  The 2024 China Auto Forum, organized by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), was held July 11-13 in the Jiading District, Shanghai. Under the theme "Leading New Changes, For a Win-Win Future," the conference featured an exclusive conference, a convention forum, and 13 thematic sessions. The forum brought together government leaders, global auto company leaders, and auto industry elites. The aim was to bring together the strengths of each party, to form a common understanding on development, to set future directions, and to promote sustainable and high-quality development in the automotive industry.

  This report presents excerpts from some of the presentations on the development trends of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) presented at the conference forum and the thematic session "The 6th Global Automotive Technology Development Leadership Summit.” The presenters included guest speakers from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Dongfeng Motor, and the SAIC Group.

  The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers detailed China's significant contribution to the transformation of the global automotive industry, new problems posed by new developments, and the joint building of a new construct for globalization. Dongfeng Motor mainly explained the development history of hybrid power, its representative technologies, and future prospects. The SAIC Group explained the development of solid-state battery technology and its industrial applications.
