CES 2024: New EV models highlight OEM strategies

  CES 2024 was held from January 9 through January 12, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. The exhibition had more than 135,000 attendees, an increase in attendance of 17% compared to CES 2023. There were more than 600 mobility exhibitors spanning over 500,000 square feet of exhibit space, making CES 2024 one of the largest and fastest growing automotive and transportation shows.

  Despite the lack of participation from the Detroit Three, other major automakers debuted and showcased new models at CES 2024. Honda announced the Honda 0 Series, unveiling the Saloon and Space-Hub concepts. Mercedes-Benz's Concept CLA-Class and electric G-Class prototypes made their North American debut at CES 2024, while Sony displayed an updated Afeela concept.

  Startups Togg and VinFast continued their presence at CES 2024. Togg unveiled its second model in the T10F sports sedan. VinFast introduced the VF Wild pickup truck concept and showcased the VF 3 electric subcompact SUV. Another startup, Mullen Automotive, debuted the Mullen Five RS EV crossover.

  This report is part of a series of reports which focuses on automotive content shown at CES 2024. This report will detail conventional concept and production vehicles shown at CES, specifically models from Mercedes-Benz and Honda, as well as other companies such as Sony, Togg, VinFast and Mullen Automotive.
