The semiconductor market continues to grow on a global scale, and Japan as well has been active in attracting and investing in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TSMC), including government-led efforts to attract TSMC factories to Japan. Nevertheless, the shortage of semiconductors has shown no signs of being resolved since it began to be recognized as a problem in early 2021.
