The rankings are based on sales to the automotive industry (U.S. dollar equivalent, figures include estimates). The top five suppliers on the list are Bosch, Denso, Magna, ZF, and Continental. This is the same ranking as last year.
When viewed on a local currency basis, European component suppliers saw a year-over-year (y/y) decrease in sales (automotive business) of roughly 1%, while Denso saw a y/y decrease of 4%. However, when calculated in USD, European suppliers experienced a y/y loss of around 6%, while Denso experienced a loss of approximately 1.7%.
