This report is the third in the series of the Leaf teardown analyses conducted by the Saitama Industrial Promotion Public Corporation. Drive-by-wire technologies are expanding in functionality as they are combined with electric vehicles (BEV) and will further evolve into base technologies for autonomous driving.

This report describes Nissan’s drive-by-wire technology development and a number of by-wire system technologies related to driving, braking, and stopping.
