German June production up 3.9%
German June production volume rises 3.9%, with Tesla ramping up output of the Model Y, BMW Group the X1, and Mercedes-Benz the GLC. Production was underpinned not only by strong domestic demand for EVs and robust exports, but also by having two more working days compared to the same month last year.

Supply chain: Maruti Suzuki e Vitara (India)
The Maruti Suzuki's e-Vitara is Suzuki's first mass-produced SUV-style BEV. Production began at the Gujarat plant in August 2025. This model is supplied to Toyota on an OEM basis and is also sold as the Toyota Urban Cruiser. In terms of parts sourcing, the lithium iron phosphate batteries are supplied by BYD. The e-Axle was jointly developed by Denso and Aisin as the "BluE Nexus," while the battery thermal management system is supplied by Denso, reflecting a Japan-led development process. In addition, interior and exterior plastic parts are sourced from Kheria Autocomp, seat frames from NDR Auto, and rear axles from VeeGee Industrial Enterprises; for parts shared with internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, leading Indian suppliers have been selected.
