Business Overview
-The Company is a French manufacturer and a global leader in the development and manufacturing of components and systems focused on exterior body assemblies, energy storage systems, pollution reduction systems, lighting systems, hydrogen technologies, front-end modules, and embedded software systems.
-At the end of the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023, the Company changed its segment reporting structure to better reflect its strategic roadmap. Under the new organization, the Company’s operations are organized into three segments divided into five divisions as follows:
Exterior Systems
Intelligent Exterior Systems (IES): Business line for developing and manufacturing complex exterior assemblies made primarily from polypropylene and composite materials such as bumpers, spoilers, fenders, energy absorption systems, tailgate modules, rocker panels, and underbody modules. The business line focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through weight reduction and improved aerodynamics of their components.
Lighting: Business line focused on interior and exterior lighting components, projection systems and complete headlights. The division was created in July 2022 with the combination of the acquired entities of Automotive Lighting System and Varroc Lighting Systems.
Powertrain
Clean Energy Systems (CES): Business line for developing and manufacturing clean energy storage systems and fuel systems, including blown polyethylene fuel tanks for ICE and hybrid vehicles, as well as emission aftertreatment systems for diesel engines. The acquisition of ACTIA Power resulted in the e-Power activity within the division, focused on battery systems and power electronics.
New Energies: New business line which spun off from the Clean Energy System business line in 2021 to develop components and systems related to alternative energy in mobility, particularly in hydrogen focused systems. The business line will develop and manufacture systems including high pressure hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cell stacks, and energy management and control solutions.
Modules: Segment which focuses on the development and production of automotive front-end modules. In December 2022, the Company fully acquired the HBPO joint venture with Hella that was the primary business within the segment.
OP’n Soft: A new business activity focusing on the development of embedded software for the Company’s products and services.
-The Company is a global leader in the development and production of onboard energy storage and emission reduction systems, and front-end modules. It produced 31 million bumpers, 1.5 million tailgates, 6 million front-end modules and 19 million fuel tanks and emission reduction systems in 2023. In addition, the Company aims to have a 25% market share in hydrogen storage systems and 15% market share in fuel cells and systems by 2030.
