History

Jun. 2003 Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL) was established jointly between Dongfeng Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
Aug. 2003 Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL) absorbed the automotive components business of the Dongfeng Motor Group and established the Parts & Components Business Unit.
Sep. 2003 Dongfeng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. established Dongfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd. jointly with Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd. and Visteon.
Mar. 2004 Behr invested in acquiring a 50% share in Dongfeng Radiator Co., Ltd., a radiator production subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., and established Dongfeng Behr Thermal Systems Co., Ltd.
Mar. 2005 The Company and Dana signed a joint venture agreement to establish Dongfeng -Dana Axle Co., Ltd.
(Certain terms of the original agreement were renegotiated after Dana filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in March 2006. Under the amendments and other agreements signed by the both companies, Dana Mauritius Ltd. will make an initial payment of 38.8 million RMB (approximately USD 5 million) to Dongfeng for a 4-percent equity interest in the joint venture by the end of March 2007. Dana Mauritius will purchase the remaining 46-percent equity interest after April 1, 2008, and within three years of receiving the aforementioned government approvals.)
Feb. 2006 Dongfeng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. and Johnson Controls jointly established Shanghai Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd.
Feb. 2010 Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. spun off its Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. Parts & Components Business Unit, establishing it as an independent corporation named Dongfeng Motor Parts & Components Group Co., Ltd.
Jun. 2013 Dongfeng Motor Suspension Spring Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, completed the first phase of its plant construction project at the Shiyan Economic Development Zone and started new operations.
Jul. 2013 Shanghai Fleetguard Filter Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, said two production lines at its new Wuhan Plant became operational.
Nov. 2013 Dongfeng Motor Fastener Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, announced that its new plant in Wuhan started operating.
May 2014 Dongfeng Electronic Technology, the Company's subsidiary, would establish a joint-venture with Knorr-Bremse Asia Pacific (Holding) to develop, produce and assemble brake products for commercial vehicles. 49 percent of the new company's share is owned by DETC and 51 percent by Knorr-Bremse.
Sep. 2014 Dongfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd., its subsidiary, and Kasai Kogyo Co., Ltd. established a 50-50 joint venture in Dalian, Liaoning. The new company is called Dongfeng Kasai (Dalian) Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd.
Dongfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd., the Company's joint venture, established a wholly owned subsidiary in Yancheng. The new company is called Dongfeng Visteon Yancheng Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd.
Dec. 2014 Dongfeng Electronic Technology, the Company's subsiary, established a joint-venture company with Bremse Asia Pacific (Holding). The new company, Dongke Knorr Commercial Vehicle Brake System (Shiyan) Co., Ltd.,is owned 51 percent by DETC and 49 percent by Knorr-Bremse.
Jan. 2015 Dongfeng Visteon Wuhan Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd., joint venture of the Company, established a joint-venture company with Grupo Antolin of Spain. The new company is called Dongfeng Antolin (Wuhan) Automotive Trim Co., Ltd., 51 percent was owned by Dongfeng Visteon Wuhan Automotive Trim Systems and the remaining 49 percent was owned by Grupo Antolin.
Jul. 2015 Dongfeng Behr Thermal Systems Co., Ltd., which is a joint venture of the Company announced that it began operations of its new R&D center.
May. 2016 Yanfeng Automotive Interiors Systems Co., Ltd. will acquire 50% of Dongfeng Visteon Automotive (Shiyan) Trim Systems Co., Ltd. shares from Yangfeng Visteon Investment Co. Ltd.
May. 2016 Dongfeng Behr Thermal Systems Co., Ltd., a joint venture of the Company opened its new plant in Shiyan.
Jul.2016 The Company signed an agreement with Faurecia (China) investment company to set up a joint venture exhaust system.
