Business Overview

-The Company manufactures high-performance transmission components and systems for the automotive, off-highway and industrial market. 

Dana Incorporated announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Drive Systems segment of the Oerlikon Group, including the Graziano and Fairfield brands. The acquisition expands the company's capabilities in electrification and further optimizes its manufacturing presence in key growth markets. The addition of the Drive Systems segment extends Dana's current technology portfolio, especially in the area of high-precision helical gears for the light- and commercial-vehicle markets, grows Dana's electronic controls capability for transmissions and drivelines through the acquisition of VOCIS, a wholly owned business of Oerlikon Drive Systems, and further expanding its motors technologies through Ashwoods Electric Motors. The acquisition also adds four research and development facilities to Dana's extensive network of technology centers, as well as 12 facilities to the company's global manufacturing footprint. The Drive Systems business serves customers such as AGCO, Ashok Leyland, Aston Martin, BMW, Caterpillar, CNH, Daimler, John Deere, Ferrari, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, MAN, McLaren, Oshkosh, SANY, Scania, Terex, Volkswagen, and AB Volvo. Acquired Fairfield Manufacturing, a US-based market leader in the manufacture of custom gears and special drive solutions.
2007 Merged into Oerlikon Group as Oerlikon Drive Systems.
2012 Sold Poretta plant and Garessio plant in Italy.
2015 Inaugurated the third plant at Sanand in Gujarat, India.
Oct. 2017 Acquired Primateria in Sweden and signed an agreement to acquire the assets of DiaPac and Diamond Recovery Services (DRS) in the US.
Mar. 2019 Dana Incorporated acquired the Group's Drive System business including the Company.
