See-through mirror monitor

-In development. -Uses a camera in the rear-view mirror and a rear camera to create a display of the area behind the vehicle. The dual camera system allows for more accurate judging of distances. Transparency of the vehicle outline and body can be adjusted.

In-mirror warning icons

-In development. -Femtosecond lasers are used to create marks approximately 10 micrometers wide in the mirror to create warning symbols. Due to the size of the marks, icons are invisible to the naked eye when unlit.

Reduced the size of oil pumps by integrating the yoke and rotor through using a shaft. The weight, including the driver, has been reduced to 750g from 2kg. It is being equipped on the Toyota Harrier Hybrid. Image
- Stamped Water Pumps>>Technical Information
Manufactures all components by stamping and the number of parts is reduced to 6 from 10. In addition, this pump is more compact and lighter in weight by 30% and shorter in length by 40%. The product life span has been improved by making bearing balls larger by using an outer race driven structure. These are being equipped on the Toyota Passo and the Daihatsu Boon.

-Driver Monitoring System (Face Direction Detection Sensor)
This face-direction-detection sensor is able to take an image of drivers' faces and then determine the directions that the drivers are facing. This is possible through using an in-vehicle camera. The Company anticipates this sensor being utilized in driving-safety systems that can become quite effective when drivers are not viewing straight ahead. Consists of an in-vehicle camera placed near the steering and image recognition ECU. The camera monitors drivers' faces the entire time (Figure 1). As an added features, it has a built-in near-infrared LED enabling it to monitor in the dark such as during night driving. (Figure 2)

Electric Active Stabilizer Actuators >>>>Technical Information
These stabilizers are made up of electric motors, reduction gears, and stabilizer bars. The electric motor, upon receiving a signal transmitted from the ECU, rotates. The speed of rotation is reduced by a gear and that is then communicated to the stabilizer bars to decrease the angle of body roll. These actuators, which are being manufactured at the Company's Handa Plant, are being installed on the Lexus GS as option equipment. Image

Electric Active Stabilizer System (the world premiere and a jointly developed system with Toyota Motor)

-The roll control assisted to stabilize vehicle posture and improved driveability.
-The system achieved lightweight and compact size by adoption of electric actuator which realized coaxial unified arrangement of motor, reduction gears and stabilizer bar.

-Realized the retractable seat operation by compact motor created by efficient improvement of the drive unit.
-Obtained the occupant collision safety and seat rigidity by adoption of seat lock mechanism

Future parking assist system (reference exhibit)
This next generation system has a function of automatic detecting system for parking space in addition to the current "Intelligent parking Assist".
-Cameras installed in front, rear, right and left determine whether the vehicle can be parked in the "intended parking space". And the system makes a vehicle an automatic parking in the detected parking space. In the event of recognizing obstacles, the system carries out an automatic brake operation.

* The Company displayed the wire framed vehicle, AISIN's Demonstration Car III, that appealed 200 automobile parts, various products by Aisin Group. At this year's motor show, the demo car specially featured the electronic storable seats for minivans as a new product.
