Intelligent Torque Controlled Couplings (ITCC) (Image)
- Torque is distributed optimally to the front and rear wheels based on driving and road conditions.
- A compact, lightweight drivetrain is enabled by control of maximum torque transmission.
- Through the use of an electromagnetic clutch, the product is made more compact, lightweight, and easy to install on the vehicle.
- The product easily conforms to ABS and vehicle behavior control systems.

JSAE 2006
HUB Drive Shaft Module (HDM) (New development ) (Current model)
-Integration of a hub unit and a drive shaft has reduced size by 22.4 mm, compared with the existing model.
- Elimination of margin in the shaft center and skipping of nuts fastening have reduced weight by about 12.7% (1,080 g) and cost by 8%, compared with the current model.
Light Weight Hub Units ( Image)
-Mass production at Osaka (Kokubu) and Tokushima plants for delivery to Daihatsu and other automakers.
-Weight reduction has been achieved without compromising required strength and rigidity, contributing to improved fuel economy.
Low Friction Torque Tapered Roller Bearings (LFT-II)(LFT-III )
- Optimized internal designing including roller diameter and length as well as reduction in friction agitation has lowered friction torque by 20% than standard bearings, prolonged life and heightened rigidity.
- The Company received the 2005 Technology Award of the Japanese Society of Tribologists
- The Company is preparing for mass production of the products as bearings for differential gears and drive pinions in an attempt to put them on the market in 2010.
Electromagnetic Clutches (by DLC-Si Coating Technology) (image)
- The Company has developed a small size, high capacity 4WD (On-demand 4WD) coupling by use of a DLC-Si coated electromagnetic clutch.
- The product features high hardness of Hv2000, high friction resistance and long life.
- A new technique of "Direct-current plasma CVD" has been used for the first time for auto parts, in replacement of conventional sputtering.
- The number of clutches was reduced to achieve cost reductions.
- Mass production of products has already started, and they are installed on Toyota "Estima," "RAV 4,"and "Wish" .
Low-noise and vibration plunging joints (AAR series)
-Double roller tripod joint with the maximum angle of 26 degrees suitable for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
-Produced at Tadomisaki Plant and other plants.
-Installed on Subaru "Forester," Mazda "Axela" and "Premacy" and Mitsubishi "Grandis."
Standard sliding joints (GI series)
-Single roller tripod joint with the maximum angle of 23 degrees suitable for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

Mainstay steering and drive train system components were exhibited as products by JTEKT focused on its systemized technology and total vehicle control capabilities in the steering and drive train product lines.
Steering
-The variable gear-ratio steering system, which will be installed on Toyota LEXUS GS-Land Cruiser 100-series.

-Total vehicle control system incorporating next-generation technologies such as steer-by-wire system was displayed.
Driveline
