Highlights for FY2007
- In June 2007, the Company moved its headquarters to Osaki, Shinagawa-Ward, Tokyo.
- The Company launched its proprietary "corrugated rim" technology in its new, light-weight steel wheels for medium-duty trucks.

The Company announced that it has developed a wheel for medium-duty trucks 6% lighter than conventional wheels. It has developed a "corrugated rim" using a steel plate with uneven thickness. A conventional rim made of a flat steel plate with even thickness on both sides creates unnecessary thickness at the connecting portion with the wheel disc, while it is easy to process. On the other hand, thickness of the corrugated rim is optimized after the process of forming. Eliminating unnecessary thickness contributes to making the wheel lighter. The Company will introduce an integrated manufacturing system of the wheel by processing the rolled steel manufactured by the Steel Div. to a wheel by the Stamping Div. .(From a story in the Nikkan Jidosha Shimbun on Oct. 26, 2007)

The Company has developed steel wheels with advanced design. It will soon start marketing proposals to automakers, adding this low-cost, yet sophisticated steel wheels as a new category in its product line. In a bid to win customers who opt for aluminum wheels for their high degree of design freedom, The Company intends to sell its new steel wheels at a cost somewhere between the prices of existing aluminum wheels and steel wheels. It will initially manufacture 16-inch steel wheels targeting North America.(From a story in the Nikkan Jidosha Shimbun on Nov. 24, 2007)
