Factors
1) Net Sales
-The Company's net sales for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2014 decreased by 7.1% from the previous year to EUR 639 million. The decrease was primarily caused by a 4.0% decrease in cast iron sales volumes and was partially offset by a 24.0% increase in aluminum sales volumes.
2) EBIT
-The Company's EBIT for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2014 increased from a EUR 70 million loss the previous year to a EUR 4 million loss. Unusual charges in 2013 of EUR 60 million involving the impairment of assets in the Cast Iron segment and the lack of such charges in 2014 account for the majority of the increase in EBIT.
