Business Highlights

Financial overview

-The Company announced that the number of its rebuilt engines produced and sold during January-July of 2013 increased by 147 percent on a year-over-year basis. The company also said that it already delivered more then 13,000 rebuilt electronic control fuel injection systems to the market through its joint business with Bosch. -The Company announced that it exported approximately 6,000 vehicles during the January-May period in 2013, which was a gain of 14.7 percent on a year-over-year basis. Among these  vehicles, the Jiefang J6 heavy-duty trucks equipped with the J5P CA6DN1-46E3 were shipped to South America, the Nanjin Iveco with the CA4DF2-17 engines were delivered to Vietnam, and the CA6DL-35E5 China V engines were supplied to Taiwan. -January 2013 sales at the Company climbed 4.7 percent from the previous month’s result, while achieving a year-over-year increase of 22.8 percent. In addition, the percentage of the company’s products used on FAW Jiefang (Qingdao) vehicles has reached 59 percent, up 2 percentage points from the full year average in 2012, with sales to other automakers also having expanded. The ratio of the company’s products used on eight major bus manufacturers rose 3.4 percent year-on-year, with its sales to Yutong Bus having risen 3.65 percent year-on-year and 4.49 percent on a year-over-year basis. Domestic Orders 
-The Company announced that its Hengwei CA6SF2-23EA LNG engine will be installed on 22 buses that will be used for a public transportation system in Nantong, Jiangsu. The powerful and high-quality natural gas engine offers superior fuel economy. This engine was developed in 2013. (From news releases issued by multiple sources on December 17, 2013)

-The Company announced that it has been awarded a new engine program from the Tianjin City Bus operator. The company will supply engines which meet the China lV standards. This is the second time that it has won a major program for the city bus system, following an order it received in May to supply 127 units of its China lV engines. The environmentally friendly engine comes in two types: one with a high pressure common rail system paired with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system; and one with a high pressure common rail system supported by an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system and a particle oxidation catalysts (POC) system. These engines are designed to achieve efficient and clean combustion with low NOx emissions. (From a press release, September 29, 2013)

-The Company won orders in April from many companies including FAW Jiefang Automotive, FAW Bus and Coach, the Xiamen King Long Motor Group, Suzhou King Long, Shanghai Shenlong Bus, Xi'an Silver Bus, and Zhongtong Bus.(From a press release, May 9, 2013)

-The Company has been awarded a number of programs from public transportation companies to supply its Aowei engines. Following orders to supply 220 engines to a Nanjin company and 85 engines to a Nanchang company, it was awarded a program to provide 127 engines to Tianjin Public Transportation Company. When their delivery is completed, the Tianjin company will have purchased over 1,600 units of the supplier’s low low-emissions engines (the China lll or tighter regulations) in total. Of all 127 engines required this time, 94 engines are the Aowei CA6DLD China lV diesel engines. Designed based on the Cruise AVL simulation tool, the China lV engines are equipped with an electronic control, high-pressure common rail system and an EGR technology. Overseas Orders
-The Company said that during January 2013, the company exported more than 1,100 engines, including those for use in power plants. These included 60 units of CA6Dl1-30 engines for the FAW Jiefang (Qingdao) CA4161 trucks sold in Indonesia, as well as 100 units of 4DW turbocharged engines with an intercooler for Vietnam. Last year, the company delivered a record-high 12,194 engines to the markets overseas. Strategic Cooperation

-On March 12, 2013, the Company announced that it has concluded a strategic partnership agreement with Fujian Wuyi Transportation Co., Ltd. The collaboration will cover areas such as after services, technical support, parts supply, and preferential rights to supply powertrain components. FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Works produces fuel-efficient engines by leveraging its core technologies in the fields of VCUs, GPSs, EGR systems, and brake components. The company’s low-speed and large-torque China lV engines achieve a maximum torque at 1,000-1,800RPM. Compared with those in the same segment, they offer a 2-3 liter improvement in fuel consumption per a 100-kilometer drive. (From news releases issued by multiple sources on April 12, 2013)
