Business Overview

-The engine manufacturer of FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China FAW Group Corporation. Its products are mainly supplied to FAW Jiefang trucks.

-It mainly produces six-cylinder, four-cylinder diesel engines and related components, as well as the modified vehicles of FAW Jie Fang trucks.

-It has the four lines Aowei, Hengwei, Kangwei and Jinwei, and their power ranges  from 40 to 550 horsepower.

-In September 2017, the FAW Jiefang Engine Branch was officially merged into the FAW Jiefang Automotive Co.,Ltd Wuxi Diesel Engine Works and became the Moving Part Department of FAWDE.

-Based on the original FAW Jiefang Automotive Co.,Ltd Wuxi Diesel Engine Works, Deutz (Dalian) Engine Co.,Ltd, Wuxi Fuel Injection Equipment Research Institute, FAW, China, Wuxi Dahao Motive Power Co., Ltd.and Engine Development Department of FAW Commercial Vehicle Research Institute, in October 2017, China FAW and Jiefang Business Headquarters established the FAW Jiefang Engine Division.

-The main products of the Division are engines, moving parts, remanufactured products and common rail systems. As of the end of 2018, the market holdings of engine products had been more than 4 million units, which maintained the leading position in the industry of heavy-duty engines. In 2018, the Division sold more than 265,000 engines.

-As of the end of 2018, the company had an annual production capacity of 470,000 engines, 5,000 modified vehicles and 2,500 remanufactured engines.

-The share of heavy-duty engines in the domestic heavy-duty engine market (over 350 horsepower) has been firmly at the forefront of the industry, and established dominance in the market of 11-liter engines.

Sep. 1943 The company was established.
1953 Changed the company name to Wuxi Diesel Engine Works
1992 Joined the FAW Group.
1993 Changed the company name to China First Automobile Group Wuxi Diesel Engine Works.
Jan.2003 Became affiliated under FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. (a heavy- and medium-duty truck company) that China FAW established. Adopted the current company name, Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Works.
May 2010 The Company's rebuilt engines manufacturing base, Wuxi Dahao Power Co., Ltd., opened.
Feb. 2012 The Company has completed the first phase of its construction project for a new diesel engine plant for heavy-duty vehicles in Huishan, Wuxi, and started its operations.
Dec. 2014 The company has established an engine research center called the FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Works Engine Technical Institute.
