Spanish passenger car sales down 30.8% in August
On September 2, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 74,490 units in August 2019 represented a decrease of 30.8% over August 2018.
Passenger car sales of 883,649 units in the first eight months of the year represented a 9.2% decrease from the same period in 2018.
Volkswagen brand sales decreased 17.6% to 5,524 units, Peugeot sales decreased 3.9% to 5,473 units, SEAT sales decreased 25.6% to 4,817 units, Toyota sales decreased 13.7% to 4,665 units, and Dacia sales increased 4.6% to 4,411 units in August 2019.
The best-selling cars in August, in order of popularity, were the Dacia Sandero, Nissan Qashqai, Opel Corsa, Renault Clio, and VW Golf.
Of all vehicles sold in August, gasoline vehicles had a 59.2% market share, diesel vehicles had a 27.1% shareand andother vehicles had a 13.7% share.
Private car sales in August decreased 27.5% to 41,657 units, business sales decreased 34.4% to 28,672 units and rental car sales decreased 36.0% to 4,161 units.

Spanish passenger car sales down 11.1% in July
On August 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 116,686 units in July 2019 represented a decrease of 11.1% over July 2018.
Passenger car sales of 809,159 units in the first seven months of the year represented a 6.5% decrease from the same period in 2018.
SEAT sales increased 19.3% to 11,882 units, Peugeot sales increased 0.6% to 8,276 units, Volkswagen brand sales decreased 29.1% to 8,063 units, Opel sales increased 30.0% to 7,443 units and Hyundai sales increased 11.4% to 7,249 units in July 2019.
The best-selling cars in July, in order of popularity, were the Dacia Sandero, SEAT Leon, SEAT Arona, Opel Corsa and Nissan Qashqai.
Of all vehicles sold in July, gasoline vehicles had a 61.7% market share, diesel vehicles had a 26.1% share and andother vehicles had a 12.2% share.
Private car sales in July decreased 13.0% to 57,952 units, business sales decreased 8.2% to 40,452 units and rental car sales decreased 10.9% to 18,282 units.

Spanish passenger car sales down 8.3% in June
On July 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 130,519 units in June 2019 represented an decrease of 8.3% over June 2018.
Passenger car sales of 692,472 units in the first half of the year represented a 5.7% decrease from the same period in 2018.
SEAT sales increased 9.7% to 12,656 units, Volkswagen brand sales decreased 18.6% to 10,873 units, Renault sales decreased 4.2% to 10,644 units, Peugeot sales decreased 3.6% to 10,266 units and Opel sales increased 3.3% to 9,022 units in June 2019.
The best-selling cars in June, in order of popularity, were the Dacia Sandero, SEAT Arona, Renault Megane, SEAT Leon and VW Golf.
Of all vehicles sold in June, gasoline vehicles had a 63.4% market share, diesel vehicles had a 25.9% share and and andother vehicles had a 10.7% share.

Spanish passenger car sales down 7.3% in May  
On June 3, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 125,625 units in May 2019 represented a decrease of 7.3% over May 2018.
Passenger car sales of 561,953 units in the first five months of the year represented a 5.1% decrease from the same period in 2018.
SEAT sales increased 1.4% to 11,642 units, Peugeot sales decreased 2.8% to 9,728 units, Renault sales decreased 19.2% to 8,849 units, Volkswagen brand sales decreased 14.6% to 8,749 units and Opel sales decreased 19.5% to 8,071 units in May 2019.
The best-selling cars in May, in order of popularity, were the SEAT Leon, Dacia Sandero, Fiat 500, Renault Clio and Nissan Qashqai.
Of all vehicles sold in May, gasoline vehicles had a 59.8% market share, diesel vehicles had a 28.3% share and andother vehicles had a 11.9% share.

Spanish passenger car sales up 2.6% in April
On May 2, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 119,417 units in April 2019 represented an increase of 2.6% over April 2018.
Passenger car sales of 436,328 units in the first four months of the year represented a 4.5% decrease from the same period in 2018.
SEAT sales increased 10.3% to 12,261 units, Renault sales increased 19.6% to 9,904 units, Peugeot sales decreased 1.9% to 9,461 units, Volkswagen brand sales decreased 8.5% to 8,961 units, and Hyundai sales increased 31.3% to 7,050 units in April 2019.
The best-selling cars in April, in order of popularity, were the SEAT Leon, Renault Clio, Renault Megane, SEAT Ibiza and Dacia Sandero.
Of all vehicles sold in April, gasoline vehicles had a 63.1% market share, diesel vehicles had a 27.3% share and other vehicles had a 9.6% share.

Spanish passenger car sales down 4.3% in March
On April 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 122,664 units in March 2019 represented an decrease of 4.3% over March 2018.
Passenger car sales of 316,911 units in the first three months of the year represented a 6.9% decrease from the same period in 2018.
Renault sales increased 9.4% to 10,225 units, Peugeot sales increased 4.5% to 9,595 units, SEAT sales increased 3.7% to 9,030 units, Volkswagen brand sales decreased 13.6% to 8,598 units, and Citroen sales increased 10.4% to 7,638 units in March 2019.
The best-selling cars in March, in order of popularity, were the Nissan Qashqai, Citroen C3, SEAT Leon, Fiat 500, and Renault Clio.
Of all vehicles sold in March, gasoline vehicles had a 63.1% market share, diesel vehicles had a 26.9% share, and other vehicles had a 9.9% share.

Spanish passenger car sales down 8.8% in February
On March 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 100,701 units in February 2019 represented an decrease of 8.8% over February 2018.
Passenger car sales of 194,247 units in the first two months of the year represented a 8.4% decrease from the same period in 2018.
Peugeot sales increased 9.2% to 8,602 units, SEAT sales decreased 23.9% to 8,415 units, Renault sales decreased 2.2% to 7,041 units, Volkswagen brand sales decreased 10.3% to 6,699 units, and Opel sales decreased 21.5% to 6,523 units in February 2019.
The best-selling cars in February, in order of popularity, were the Nissan Qasqai, Seat Leon, Dacia Sandero, Opel Corsa, and Renault Clio.
Of all vehicles sold in February, gasoline vehicles had a 60.2% market share, diesel vehicles had a 29.9% share, and other vehicles had a 9.9% share.

Spanish car sales decrease 8.0% in January
On February 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 93,546 units in January 2019 represented an decrease of 8.0% over January 2018.
SEAT sales increased 6.4% to 9,089 units, Peugeot sales increased 0.3% to 7,541 units, Volkswagen brand sales decreased 19.1% to 7,211 units, and Toyota sales decreased 4.2% to 6,074 units, while Opel sales decreased 17.7% to 5,667 units compared to January 2018.
The best-selling cars in January 2019, in order of popularity, were the Dacia Sandero, SEAT Leon, SEAT Ibiza, VW Golf and Nissan Qasqai.
Of all vehicles sold in January, gasoline vehicles had a 60.0% market share, diesel vehicles had a 28.9% share, and other vehicles had a 11.1% share.
