Spanish car sales up 8.0% in June
On July 2, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 142,376 units in June 2018 represented an increase of 8.0% over June 2017.
Passenger car sales of 734,649 units in the first half of the year represented a 10.1% increase from the same period in 2017.
Volkswagen brand sales increased 35.2% to 13,353 units, SEAT sales increased 14.4% to 11,535 units, Renault sales decreased 10.1% to 11,112 units, Peugeot sales increased 11.2% to 10,644 units, and Opel sales decreased 6.9% to 8,730 units in June 2018.
The best-selling cars in June, in order of popularity, were the SEAT Leon, VW Polo, VW Golf, Renault Megane, and Citroen C4.
Of all vehicles sold in June, gasoline vehicles had a 58.0% market share, diesel vehicles had a 35.5% share, and hybrid car (HV) and electric vehicles (EV) combined had a 6.6% share.

Spanish car sales up 7.2% in May
On June 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 135,522 units in May 2018 represented an increase of 7.2% over May 2017.
Passenger car sales of 592,269 units in the first five months of the year represented a 10.6% increase from the same period in 2017.
SEAT sales increased 37.2% to 11,477 units, Renault sales increased 12.8% to 10,958 units, Volkswagen brand sales increased 2.6% to 10,239 units, Opel sales decreased 3.5% to 10,026 units, and Peugeot sales increased 17.7% to 10,010 units in May 2018.
The best-selling cars in May, in order of popularity, were the SEAT Leon, Fiat 500, Citroen C4, Renault Clio, and Renault Megane.
Of all vehicles sold in May, gasoline vehicles had a 59.0% market share, diesel vehicles had a 35.3% share, and hybrid car (HV) and electric vehicles (EV) combined had a 5.7% share.

Spanish car sales up 12.3% in April
On May 3, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 113,816 units in April 2018 represented an increase of 12.3% over April 2017.
Passenger car sales of 454,130 units in the first four months of the year represented a 11.0% increase from the same period in 2017.
SEAT sales increased 4.2% to 10,937 units, Volkswagen brand sales increased 29.2% to 9,636 units, Peugeot sales increased 16.2% to 9,398 units, Renault sales increased 19.0% to 8,168 units, and Toyota sales increased 39.6% to 6,819 units in April 2018.
The best-selling cars in April, in order of popularity, were the SEAT Ibiza, VW Polo, Dacia Sandero, SEAT Leon, and Opel Corsa.
Of all vehicles sold in April, gasoline vehicles had a 57.4% market share, diesel vehicles had a 36.7% share, and hybrid car (HV) and electric vehicles (EV) combined had a 5.8% share.

Spanish car sales up 2.1% in March
On April 2, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 128,175 units in March 2018 represented an increase of 2.1% over March 2017.
Passenger car sales of 340,311 units in the first three months of the year represented a 10.5% increase from the same period in 2017.
Volkswagen brand sales decreased 1.3% to 9,952 units, Renault sales decreased 4.7% to 9,346 units, Peugeot sales increased 10.4% to 9,177 units, Nissan sales increased 6.7% to 9,030 units, and SEAT sales increased 3.4% to 8,708 units in March 2018.
The best-selling cars in March, in order of popularity, were the Fiat 500, VW Polo, Nissan Qasqai, SEAT Leon, and Citroen C4.
Of all vehicles sold in March, gasoline vehicles had a 59.3% market share, diesel vehicles had a 35.9% share, and hybrid car (HV) and electric vehicles (EV) combined had a 4.8% share.

Spanish car sales up 13.0% in February
On March 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 110,474 units in February 2018 represented an increase of 13.0% over February 2017.
Passenger car sales of 212,135 units in the first two months of the year represented a 16.4% increase from the same period in 2017.
SEAT sales increased 17.7% to 11,063 units, Opel sales decreased 6.2% to 8,310 units, Peugeot sales increased 20.8% to 7,876 units, Volkswagen brand sales increased 6.7% to 7,471 units, and Renault sales increased 14.2% to 7,200 units in February 2018.
The best-selling cars in February, in order of popularity, were the Seat Ibiza, Seat Leon, Nissan Qasqai, Dacia Sandero, and Fiat 500.
Of all vehicles sold in February, gasoline vehicles had a 56.4% market share, diesel vehicles had a 38.2% share, and hybrid car (HV) and electric vehicles (EV) combined had a 5.5% share.

Spanish car sales increase 20.3% in January
On February 1, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 101,661 units in January 2018 represented an increase of 20.3% over January 2017.
Volkswagen brand sales increased 34.5% to 8,909 units, SEAT sales increased 30.9% to 8,540 units, Peugeot sales increased 30.8% to 7,518 units, and Opel sales decreased 5.6% to 6,887 units, while Toyota sales increased 12.2% to 6,337 units compared to January 2017.
The best-selling cars in January 2018, in order of popularity, were the VW Golf, SEAT Leon, Dacia Sandero, SEAT Ibiza and Citroen C4.
Of all vehicles sold in January, gasoline vehicles had a 51.7% market share, diesel vehicles had a 41.8% share, and hybrid car (HV) and electric vehicles (EV) combined had a 6.5% share.
