French car sales fall 0.5% in December, up 4.7% in 2017
On January 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that December new car sales in France of 193,375 units had decreased 0.5% from the same month one year ago.
Total 2017 sales of 2,110,751 units had increased 4.7% from 2016.
December domestic brand sales of 101,657 units had increased 4.9% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 52.6%.
Renault Group sales of 50,823 units decreased 4.0% (26.3% share) while PSA Group sales of 50,773 units increased 15.6% (26.3% share).
Foreign brand sales in December of 91,718 units decreased 5.9% (47.4% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 26,902 units increased 4.3% (13.9% share), while Daimler Group sales of 10,367 units decreased 4.1% (5.4% share).
BMW Group sales of 10,012 units increased 14.1% (5.2% share).
Toyota Group sales of 8,898 units decreased 1.6% (4.6% share), while FCA Group sales of 7,803 units decreased 5.6% (4.0% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) decreased by 3.9% in December to 39,564 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in December of 4,339 units increased 7.8% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales rise 10.3% in November
On December 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that November new car sales in France of 180,012 units had increased 10.3% from the same month one year ago.
New car sales for the first eleven months of 2017 increased 5.3% from the same period in 2016 to 1,917,383 units.
November domestic brand sales of 101,080 units had increased 20.0% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 56.2%.
PSA Group sales of 57,539 units increased 34.1% (32.0% share) while Renault Group sales of 43,533 units increased 5.3% (24.2% share).
Foreign brand sales of 78,932 units remained stable in Novemmber compared to a year ago, capturing a market share of 43.8%.
Volkswagen Group sales of 22,349 units decreased 0.6% (12.4% share), while BMW Group sales of 8,169 units increased 18.0% (4.5% share).
Toyota Group sales of 7,870 units increased 11.7% (4.4% share).
Daimler Group sales of 7,833 units increased 19.6% (4.4% share), while FCA Group sales of 7,550 units increased 9.3% (4.2% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 8.4% in November to 38,812 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in November of 4,696 units increased 13.6% from the same month a year ago.

On November 2, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that October new car sales in France of 176,496 units had increased 13.7% from the same month one year ago.
New car sales for the first ten months of 2017 increased 4.8% from the same period in 2016 to 1,737,375 units.
October domestic brand sales of 97,612 units had increased 20.3% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 55.3%.
PSA Group sales of 56,463 units increased 24.1% (32.0% share) while Renault Group sales of 41,136 units increased 16.2% (23.3% share).
Foreign brand sales in October of 78,884 units increased 6.5% (44.7% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 22,931 units increased 7.0% (13.0% share), while Toyota Group sales of 8,371 units increased 22.0% (4.7% share).
BMW Group sales of 7,800 units increased 16.0% (4.4% share).
FCA Group sales of 7,725 units increased 14.7% (4.4% share), while Ford Group sales of 6,652 units increased 15.9% (3.8% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 18.9% in October to 39,372 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in October of 5,049 units increased 20.0% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales rise 1.1% in Septembe
On October 2, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that September new car sales in France of 170,652 units had increased 1.1% from the same month one year ago.
New car sales for the first nine months of 2017 increased 3.9% from the same period in 2016 to 1,560,885 units.
September domestic brand sales of 97,433 units had increased 8.0% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 57.1%.
PSA Group sales of 51,813 units increased 15.6% (30.4% share) while Renault Group sales of 45,612 units increased 0.6% (26.7% share).
Foreign brand sales in September of 73,219 units decreased 6.8% (42.9% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 20,517 units decreased 4.9% (12.0% share), while FCA Group sales of 7,419 units increased 8.9% (4.3% share).
Daimler Group sales of 7,064 units increased 11.9% (4.1% share).
BMW Group sales of 7,053 units decreased 3.5% (4.1% share), while Toyota Group sales of 6,839 units increased 2.1% (4.0% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 0.5% in September to 35,555 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in September of 4,097 units decreased 2.5% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales rise 9.4% in August
On September 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that August new car sales in France of 107,455 units had increased 9.4% from the same month one year ago.
New car sales for the first eight months of 2017 increased 4.2% from the same period in 2016 to 1,390,240 units.
August domestic brand sales of 54,556 units had increased 9.3% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 50.8%.
PSA Group sales of 28,662 units increased 7.0% (26.7% share) while Renault Group sales of 25,884 units increased 12.3% (24.1% share).
Foreign brand sales in August of 52,899 units increased 9.5% (49.2% share).

Nissan Group sales of 4,620 units increased 51.2% (4.3% share), while FCA Group sales of 4,456 units increased 17.8% (4.1% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 15.6% in August to 23,357 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in August of 2,190 units increased 5.0% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales rise 10.9% in July
On August 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that July new car sales in France of 147,519 units had increased 10.9% from the same month one year ago.
New car sales for the first seven months of 2017 increased 3.8% from the same period in 2016 to 1,282,786 units.
July domestic brand sales of 76,228 units had increased 12.7% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 51.7%.
PSA Group sales of 43,845 units increased 12.7% (29.7% share) while Renault Group sales of 32,373 units increased 13.1% (21.9% share).
Foreign brand sales in July of 71,291 units increased 9.1% (48.3% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 20,291 units increased 12.8% (13.8% share), while Toyota Group sales of 6,999 units increased 22.6% (4.7% share).
FCA Group sales of 6,703 units increased 14.2% (4.5% share).
BMW Group sales of 6,117 units decreased 8.1% (4.1% share), while Daimler Group sales of 5,508 units increased 4.0% (3.7% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 13.7% in July to 32,314 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in July of 3,967 units increased 2.0% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales rise 1.6% in June, up 3.0% in first half of 2017
On July 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that June new car sales in France of 230,940 units had increased 1.6% from the same month one year ago.
New car sales for the first half of 2017 increased 3.0% from the same period in 2016 to 1,135,281 units.
June domestic brand sales of 131,156 units had decreased 0.6% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 56.8%.
Renault Group sales of 65,871 units decreased 5.4% (28.5% share) while PSA Group sales of 65,267 units increased 4.9% (28.3% share).
Foreign brand sales in June of 99,784 units increased 4.6% (43.2% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 25,268 units increased 0.7% (10.9% share), while FCA Group sales of 9,962 units increased 6.8% (4.3% share).
BMW Group sales of 9,337 units increased 1.6% (4.0% share).
Ford Group sales of 9,275 units increased 6.3% (4.0% share), while Toyota Group sales of 8,614 units increased 9.7% (3.7% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 1.9% in June to 46,355 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in June of 5,462 units increased 9.7% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales rise 8.9% in May, up 3.3% in first five months of 2017
On June 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that May new car sales in France of 191,419 units had increased 8.9% from the same month one year ago.
New car sales for the first five months of 2017 increased 3.3% from the same period in 2016 to 904,344 units.
May domestic brand sales of 103,345 units had increased 8.0% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 54.0%.
PSA Group sales of 54,149 units increased 4.3% (28.3% share) while Renault Group sales of 49,189 units increased 12.5% (25.7% share).
Foreign brand sales in May of 88,074 units increased 9.9% (46.0% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 25,372 units increased 11.4% (13.3% share), while Ford Group sales of 8,229 units increased 19.8% (4.3% share).
FCA Group sales of 7,883 units increased 18.5% (4.1% share).
Toyota Group sales of 7,359 units increased 10.6% (3.8% share), while BMW Group sales of 7,244 units increased 2.2% (3.8% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 7.5% in May to 36,844 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in May of 4,298 units increased 16.3% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales fall 6.0% in April, up 2.0% in first four months of 2017
On May 2, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that April new car sales in France of 171,879 units had decreased 6.0% from the same month one year ago, based in part on two less selling days in the month in 2017.
New car sales for the first four months of 2017 increased 2.0% from the same period in 2016 to 712,933 units.
April domestic brand sales of 93,492 units had decreased 6.8% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 54.4%.
Renault Group sales of 43,169 units decreased 8.3% (25.1% share) while PSA Group sales of 50,319 units decreased 5.3% (29.3% share).
Foreign brand sales in April of 78,387 units decreased 5.0% (45.6% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 21,510 units decreased 8.5% (12.5% share), while BMW Group sales of 6,548 units decreased 10.8% (3.8% share).
Daimler Group sales of 5,190 units decreased 7.3% (3.0% share).
Ford sales of 6,854 units decreased 6.4% (4.0% share), while FCA Group sales of 7,110 units increased 4.8% (4.1% share).
Toyota Group sales of 6,787 units in April increased 0.5% (3.9% share).
Nissan Group sales of 6,013 units decreased 5.2% (3.5% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 0.2% in April to 36,320 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in April of 4,222 units decreased 4.5% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales rise 7.0% in March, up 4.8% in first quarter
On April 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that March new car sales in France of 226,145 units had increased 7.0% from the same month one year ago, based in part on having one extra selling day this year.
New car sales for the first three months of 2017 increased 4.8% from the same period in 2016 to 541,065 units.
March domestic brand sales of 123,768 units had increased 6.9% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 54.7%.
Renault Group sales of 60,776 units increased 5.3% (26.9% share) while PSA Group sales of 62,973 units increased 8.5% (27.9% share).
Foreign brand sales in March of 102,377 units increased 7.3% (45.3% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 24,566 units decreased 3.0% (10.9% share), while BMW Group sales of 8,081 units decreased 5.0% (3.6% share).
Daimler Group sales of 6,407 units increased 8.8% (3.3% share).
Ford sales of 10,046 units increased 5.6% (4.5% share), while FCA Group sales of 9,710 units increased 17.6% (4.3% share).
Toyota Group sales of 10,166 units in March increased 32.9% (4.5% share).
Nissan Group sales of 9,649 units increased 11.0% (4.3% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 15.1% in March to 44,583 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in March of 4,692 units increased 4.1% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales fall 2.9% in February
On March 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that February new car sales in France of 161,885 units had decreased 2.9% from the same month one year ago.
February domestic brand sales of 84,333 units had decreased 5.8% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 52.1%.
Renault Group sales of 39,981 units decreased 3.8% (24.7% share) while PSA Group sales of 44,348 units decreased 7.4% (27.4% share).
Foreign brand sales in February of 77,552 units increased 0.4% (47.9% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 19,064 units decreased 6.5% (11.8% share), while BMW Group sales of 6,459 units decreased 2.8% (4.0% share).
Daimler Group sales of 5,087 units increased 6.2% (3.1% share).
Ford sales of 7,634 units decreased 1.5% (4.7% share), while FCA Group sales of 6,814 units increased 6.0% (4.2% share).
Toyota Group sales of 8,533 units in February increased 25.2% (5.3% share).
Nissan Group sales of 5,731 units decreased 18.1% (3.5% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 4.2% in February to 34,616 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in February of 3,523 units increased 1.3% from the same month a year ago.

French car sales increase 10.6% in January 2017
On February 1, the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) announced that January new car sales in France of 153,055 units had increased 10.6% from the same month one year ago.
January domestic brand sales of 83,174 units had increased 10.8% compared to the same month a year ago, capturing a market share of 54.3%.
Renault Group sales of 36,117 units increased 12.6% (23.6% share) while PSA Group sales of 47,056 units increased 9.7% (30.7% share).
Foreign brand sales in January of 69,881 units increased 10.3% (45.7% share).
Volkswagen Group sales of 19,430 units increased 1.9% (12.7% share), while BMW Group sales of 5,928 units increased 5.0% (3.9% share).
Daimler Group sales of 2,430 units decreased 10.4% (1.6% share).
Ford sales of 7,118 units increased 39.2% (4.9% share), while FCA Group sales of 6,182 units increased 19.0% (4.0% share).
Toyota Group sales of 7,929 units in January increased 16.6% (5.2% share).
Nissan Group sales of 5,102 units increased 11.1% (3.3% share).
Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) increased by 10.3% in January to 30,920 units.
Heavy commercial vehicle (5 tons or more) sales in January of 3,997 units increased 14.1% from the same month a year ago.
