SAE International's WCX 2025 conference took place from April 8 through April 10, 2025 in Detroit, Michigan, U.S., at the Huntington Place exhibition hall. WCX 2025 included approximately 100 exhibitors, with displays from the Detroit Three and other suppliers. The conference featured three keynote presentations and eight Leadership Summit panels while also allowing attendees to ride and test various EVs at an indoor test track.
The panels at WCX 2025 covered a wide range of themes surrounding the automotive industry. One Leadership Summit session explored the utility and impact of AI in the automotive industry. Jack Weast, a Vice President and General Manager of Intel Automotive, gave a keynote presentation about his thoughts on the Chinese automotive industry from his time in China. Finally, a pair of Leadership Summit sessions offered insights on future automotive propulsion distribution from OEMs and industry analysts.
