  The Battery Show North America 2024 and the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo event took place at its new location at the Huntington Place convention center in Detroit, Michigan, U.S., from October 8 through October 10, 2024. The exhibition was moved from Novi, Michigan due to anticipated growth in attendees and exhibitors. According to Informa Markets, the event organizer, the 2024 event hosted more than 21,000 attendees and approximately 1,250 exhibitors, setting records for both.

  Multiple exhibitors at The Battery Show North America and the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo highlighted battery cell advancements. Schaeffler showcased a new all solid-state battery cell and module pack concept. Lyten’s exhibit featured its lithium-sulfur battery, demonstrating benefits in weight and sustainability. Gotion displayed part of its battery cell portfolio, including the L600 Astroinno cell. It also showed various portable power stations. In terms of battery packs, BorgWarner highlighted its AKM battery system and LFP battery packs. A123 Systems displayed its range of 12 V and 48 V lithium battery solutions. ElringKlinger presented a high-performance 400 V battery pack and a performance battery module.

  Another area of focus for exhibitors were thermal solutions. Modine Manufacturing displayed several systems, emphasizing its electronics cooling package and complete battery thermal management system. FORVIA Hella showcased its Coolant Control Hub max system for central thermal management in EVs. Littelfuse showed the TTape platform which enables temperature monitoring for localized cell overheating.
