Summary
The CTI Symposium, founded in 2002 in Germany, is an annual international conference focused on sustainable powertrain technologies for passenger and commercial vehicles. The CTI Symposium is also held in the United States.
The two-day symposium was held in Berlin from December 5 to 6, 2023. The symposium was organized by CTI (Car Training Institute), a division of Euroforum Deutschland GmbH. In the exhibition area, about 40 booths presented the latest products and solutions from leading automotive suppliers and engineering companies.
This year's CTI Symposium featured a Plenary Session on "Strategies and Technologies for Carbon Free Mobility" followed in parallel by about 40 Deep Dive sessions in seven rooms by experts in the field on the latest technological developments in powertrain systems, batteries, electric motors, electric drives, and more.
During the opening ceremony, Professor Ferit Küçükay, co-founder and chair of CTI Symposium Germany, announced that Prof. Malte Jaensch (Chair of Sustainable Mobile Powertrain at the Technical University of Munich) will take over the Chair role, and a ceremony was held to honor Prof. Küçüka for his lifetime achievements spanning more than 20 years. Professor Küçükay will stay with the Symposium in the role of Founding Chairman.
This report is a summary of the Plenary Session and expert presentations that took place over two days.
