Summary

The Toyota Business Fair was organized by Toyota City and the Toyota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and this year's theme was "What We Should Do Now for the Future" (Dates: March 2 (Thursday) to March 3 (Friday), 2023; Venue: Sky Hall Toyota). The Toyota Business Fair has been held since FY2009 in part to overcome the global economic recession caused by the Lehman Brothers collapse in 2008. The event is a comprehensive exhibition with displays from a wide range of businesses and organizations, mainly serving as a venue for "manufacturing" companies in the automotive industry in the area surrounding Toyota City producing superior technologies and products, as well as retailers, service providers, public institutions, and support organizations. This year was the 13th Toyota Business Fair (the FY2019 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis), and an event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Toyota Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Last year, 101 exhibitors (companies and organizations) and 3,350 visitors attended the exhibition, while this year 109 companies and organizations exhibited. Exhibition themes ranged from carbon neutrality, digital transformation (DX), manufacturing, to architecture and housing environment, health and services, public- and university-related, etc. Seminars on carbon neutrality, digital transformation, and human resource development were also held.

This report introduces the content of the exhibitions by 14 companies and organizations, including Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota Auto Body Co., Ltd., Aisin Corporation, and Toyota Boshoku Corporation.
