The 12th China Automotive Forum, organized by the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM), was held in Shanghai's Jiading District from November 8-10, 2022. The forum was originally scheduled to take place in June, but was postponed to August due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and was finally opened in November. This year's forum was themed “Gathering Strength and Stability, Building Up Momentum for a New Journey” and included one closed-door summit, one convention forum, and 16 thematic sessions.
Among the sessions was thematic session 10, "Open & Collaborative, New Normal of the Software-Defined Automotive Ecosystem," held on November 10. The session featured presentations on "Software Defined Vehicles (SDV)" by Mr. Qing CHANG, CEO of CARIAD China, a software company under the VW Group, Mr. Liang HUANG, Senior Director of NIO, and Laijun LUO, Chief Engineer of Dias Automotive Electronic Systems. This report presents the main points of the presentations.
