In follow up to the report on new EV automakers at the Beijing Motor Show 2018, this report focuses on the NEVs (New Energy Vehicle) and concept cars announced by major automotive groups such as SAIC Motor, Dongfeng Motor, and the FAW.
SAIC Motor exhibited the Marvel X and RX8 from its Roewe brand, as well as the X-motion concept car from its MG brand. Dongfeng Motors’ π eπ coupe concept car made its world premiere, and the OEM also exhibited models such as its Fengxing T5 SUV. The BAIC Group announced its new group development strategy and its new EU5 compact (A-class) EV sedan. Half or more of the exhibited models were NEVs. FAW Group debuted new models such as its Besturn T77 concept car the Senia R9. Changan Automobile exhibited its new CS75 and a PHV variant of the CS75. Changan Automobile’s subsidiary Changan Oushang changed its name to Oushang Automobile and announced the COS 1° SUV as its first model to use the new logo. GAC not only unveiled its Enverge concept car, but also announced its transmission business partnership with Aisin AW.
